I’m looking for insights from you, players that like me, play Glaivier Pinnacle in Western version. I want to help my party in Valtan, Vykas, Argos, etc… But I feel that my DPS is mediocre. At least, my stagger dmg not is, but still. Is there a meta build/rotation for Glaivier Pinnacle?
That said, I have the following questions:
What is your iLVL? My iLVL is 1462
What are your engravings? I’m use 5x3: Grudge, Pinnacle, Keen Weapon Blunt, Cursed Doll and Increase Mass
What are your stats? I’m using Spec and Swiftness in my Necklace
What is your gearset? I’m using 3 nightmare pieces and 3 Harsh Oath.
What are your skills, tripods, skill rotation, runes and gems? (I guess my main DPS limitation problems are here in skills, tripods, and skill rotation). I’m using 5/2 build.
What card decks you using?
What is your 2min DPS avarage in Training Grounds DPS Test? I’m reaching 1.5kk without Awakening
That said, can you help me reach excellence as a Glaivier Pinnacle? I LOVE THIS CLASS as a main, but I am not feeling contributing a lot. Excepts when I 100% know/hit the boss mechanics. I mean, this is fundamental to reach maximum performance, but I have a reflux sorc alt that dont matter much if I know the boss mechs or not, it 99% of time is DPS MVP
Am I doing something wrong? Which Glaivier Pinnacle guide are you following?

I was thinking about the engravings on my Alt Lancer Master.
Currently; Pinnacle, Spirit Absorption, Raid Captain, Adrenaline, and 5th one maybe Grudge.
Solves the long animation problem, takes advantage of weapon swap crit/speed buffs, and Adrenaline because sheer amount of skills.
you are using the optimal engravings for pinnacle glavier if you playing 5 blue/2 red skills.
Im playing 3 red skills and 4 blue skills (1455 ilvl). In that case you want raid captain instead of mass increase.
There are many different ways to play glavier.
I personally get mvp really often, although that isn’t supposed to happen, since glavier isn’t the top tier dps class.
Use judgment/conviction runes to achieve lower cooldowns. That will make your rotation very fluent.
I can permanently spam my rotation (crit buff, halfmoon, weel of blades, dragonslash, red dragon horn, spear of destruction, starfall, repeat).
Learn to use your counter, that will give you some extra dmg and let’s you continue dpsing in situations were you would need to dodge out otherwise.
For every class the hit per second make the deal, attack as often as possible, positioning is key for that.
Other then that there isn’ta big secret I think. Just make sure you not missing your red dragon horn. That’s a huge dmg loss.
Edit: I’ve just made the 2 min test and my dps without awakening was 1,8kk. Only using 4x3 and 2 relic pieces. So something is definitely off with your rotation or your tripods. I have 3 lvl 7 gems, rest lvl 6 and I’m using the crit card set.
from the Information you gave us everything looks decent for now.
One thing i would have suggested if Vykas wouldn’t be around the corner is that you should’ve went with Salvation 2p and Nightmare and even Harsh Oath on top of that (Harsh oath is the one you can disregard first though since if you already use Keen Blunt Weapon it looses some Value).
So unless you already have some Valtan Bones lying around i would just skip that part and just try to kill Vykas Hardmode and jump to 4p immediatly, you can still swap to 4p Nightmare and 2p Salvation during your 6p transition though.
So if you want some further help i would just suggest that you tell us what Build you are running exactly.
By far the best thing you could do it make a Video of you in Trixion and showcase your build then you have the best change in getting some help here.
1.5M Dps in 2 Min seems really low for your Setup but i have no Data of Parses without Awakening so i might be a little off, but even without Awakening this is still pretty low.
Also the other User mentioned that you shouldn’t use Increase Mass with Cursed Doll. He is right that its less dmg if you use them together but if you go 5 Blue 2 Red skills these are still the optimal Engravings for you since you lack any other options that suit your build so your Engravings are definitely something you shouldn’t have to worry about.

drop raid captain spirit should be your last and just try to get it to lvl 1 or 2. Drop adrenaline. Use pinnacle, grudge, cursed doll, keenblunt and spirit last.
Do not use spirit absorbtion on pinnacle nor adrenaline, you are wasting it during blue stance and you already have 100% crit in red stance. If you are using 5/2 go for pinnacle/grudge/2 of(CD/KBW/MI) if you use 4/3 get raid capt as a 4th engraving and do not use MI
All around level 7 gems 5/2 build with Thrust of Destruction and Red Dragon’s Horn in red stance. Thrust has become a better skill than Starfall since the last balance patch but you aren’t losing on that much if you cba with the long charge time. Link to the build : Imgur: The magic of the Internet . Mostly level 3 tripods, I’m not using the ones I drop right now, saving them for the level 4 builds. For rotation I do Thrust of Destruction=>Red Dragon’s Horn=> Swap => [IF Shackling Blue Dragon is up (not 100% uptime rotation) : Shackling blue dragon => Half Moon Slash (conv) => Wheel of Blade (Judgment) => Chain Slash => Raging Blue Dragon] / [IF Shackling Blue Dragon is not up yet (100% uptime rotation) : Spear Dive => Chain Slash => Shackling Blue Dragon => Half Moon Slash => Wheel of Blade => Raging Blue Dragon] . I chose to go 1/2/1 on Thrust of Destruction instead of 1/1/1 because I do have Lostwind Cliff and when we do legion raids I ask to be in a party with crit synergy (usually Gunslinger). This means 8.6% base crit (+7% Lostwind Cliff) + 50% Air Ripping Thrust Tripod + 10% back attack + 10% Gunslinger Crit synergy = 78,6% crit. If those conditions are met 1/2/1 will do more damage than 1/1/1.

Without Awakening I sit at 2.6M, even though I do think no awakening DPS for Lancemaster is currently skewed since it is a big part of your damage -mine does 31-33M- but keep in mind that awakening damage is gonna be less important when we get the full Nightmare set when Vykas comes out.
I do think there might be something you’re doing wrong, Glaivier is one of the best classes early on because of the guaranteed crit, it is gonna drop down in the future and become an above average class when the other DPS classes have their full sets and higher crit chances. The only visible mistake I see on your build is the 3 Nightmare/3 Oath. 3 piece relic set doesn’t do anything, might aswell go for 2/2/2 like I did. You are losing on at least 14% DPS just there, probably a lot more because of how damage multiplication works. The BiS for Vykas is 2 Nightmare/2 Poem/2 Beast Power (Valtan leg set) if you dare going back to normal to get it. If not, stick to Harsh Oath. I consistently get MVP on Deskaluda, even against much higher ilvl players, averaging at 50% of the DPS. Here is my highest MVP.
The only player I know that beats me almost every time on Valtan is a Sorceress friend who played on RU and has a lot of experience with the game. I had to clear it with PUGs this week and did 20% of the damage in a 1460-1480 group.
As of how I made my build, I’ve checked top Korean players on Loawa, watched Memorizer92 guides, and did my own research. Maxroll guide is a good baseline but misses a ton of info and can be misleading on some aspects. There are some gem setups that aren’t that great even on top KR players. I’ve seen some of them use a cooldown gem on Wheel of Blade which makes no sense to me since it has a short cooldown and isn’t what’s gonna block your rotation. Maybe it’s something I can’t test right now and with higher swiftness and tripods + Nightmare 6p second (recovery) effect you can fit 2 Wheel of Blade in Blue Stance but as of now the setup I made is the one that allowed the smoothest rotation.

Don’t have perfect engravings yet but used the service for

relic weapon +20, 2 entropy, 2 salvation, 2 preordained (Argos).

I will say at the end of the day you can tweak and tune glaivier all you want, if youre on equal gearing and skill of other A/S/SS tier classes they will generally out dps you. Dont main glaivier expecting to get mvp.
She fundamentally just does not output the same dps as the likes of zerk, sorc,db, to name a few big contenders. Especially not with spec/swift build. Swift build on pinnacle is a convenience build not a giga dps build
Still not get what you mean. As far as I know, Glaivier Pinnacle recommendation is to use a full relic set of specialization excepts and swiftness in the secondary stat of the necklace
