The attached video discussion between 3 Lost Ark Streamers is really informative and balanced. They weigh in on the good, the bad and all things NA/EU. Highly recommended. The folks I really hope will watch it is Smilegate and Amazon…they need to hear this.
As said in the video, I’d be surprised if Smilegate and Amazon aren’t confused. Player feedback is challenging because it is so varied and there are vast amounts of differences. Hard core, casual, in-between, socialites, whales, FTP, in-betweens, fashionistas, alt lovers, alt haters, too much content, not enough content…egads. SMH!
It is pretty clear the NA/EU release is a mish-mashed version of the game. It’s also clear that the Korean version is loved by most folk. There is so much we are missing from the game - both horizontal and vertical content. it’s no wonder we have so much feedback. We see what the game could be, but that what we have isn’t it.
One thing that I believe we can mostly agree on is this – we need more information. The roadmap is taking too long and the community is restless. And when you don’t set expectations we set them for you, and right now the expectations for next content release and roadmap are sky high.
I’ll weigh in with a few of my own inputs that I am hoping for in the next release and what I’m looking for in the roadmap:

Accelerate the pace at which the NA/EU version of the game matches the Korean version. Do Not drip feed us. Do not think that some drip fed release schedule of content will be some carrot on a stick to keep us going. Don’t think that a slow burn on classes and skins will “bring players back”. It won’t. Don’t do it. We hate that behavior and every game that’s done that sorta thing has suffered for it. You have a great game. Let us play it.

Accelerate the release of the remaining advanced classes. Show us a plan that has them all in the game by end of summer.

Release the skins. All of them. Make a commitment not to tone down the skins. Catch us up on all the older skins. Match Korea.

Quality of life features in Korea need to come to NA Asap. HUD customization and interface freedom. Front and back attack visual queues. AH search improvements. Dressing rooms. There are so many.

More communication. We appreciate Roxx, but it’s not enough. These forums. twitter, Twitch, You tube, we don’t care how but there is just a lot of dead air with this game. Most of us fear Amazon’s involvement. We see the game Director say he doesn’t like some of the choices being made by Amazon and we worry that the game we love will be ruined. The more you communicate the more you quell our fears and reduce our speculation. You also have the opportunity to set our expectations properly.
Look, Lost Ark is a good game…and an incredible one with everything in it… I hope that is a realization people can experience themselves soon.
