By the time they do something about the bots and hackers they will then have to do something about the economy that’s been completely wrecked.

Just link to ID or Amazon account. Or implement periodic captcha/checks with suspicious behavior. There are many options here and lots that don’t require smilegate to develop. Hell even just having someone manually ban is better than this. Do something.

There are so many bots in-game it starts to be annoying. If you can’t come up with a permanent solution just paywall gameplay behind the crystalline aura or something for the time being. Player economy is collapsing and Lost Ark looks like cheap mobile game which is off-putting.

They won’t do anything to completely eliminate it. Here’s why:
RMT Promotes Gold Selling. Most effective way to get gold? Botting. Barrier for entry? It’s F2P. Bots are still counted as the player base and hence show how popular the game is.
You would think some of these bots would get banned when they walk faster that my mount, nope still see them in high level areas… AGS didn’t make the game which is good but the way it’s handled issues is still crap. 0 for 2.
Permanently prevent everyone from sending gold and items through mail to another player.
This will fix most of the botting/gold selling issues.
Sure, you can still do janky trades through the market but it’s much more difficult and can be sniped and tracked easily.
Can we have a real statement from AGS on :
- What AGS actually doing / minding about this issue ?
- Do SmileGate care about this, do they will patch EAC and the game to make 3rd party software unusable ?
- What do you planning for future about this ?
Reporting bots IG is not sufficient to sovled this issue.
AGS / SmileGate have to really care about to implement a verification (phone number ?), a system that will make creation of accounts more complicated for bots and that will slow down the gold farmer spam and that will also maybe solve queue problems …

lol bot still there… like i said the only thing bot do was to make raw gold and also multiboxing. cuz you got 410g going to lv 26 (from guide quest and also king luterra rapport ), just make lv 26 got less gold than before @Roxx
yup it’s really annoying, me even can’t do my quest cuz of bot keep coming and also already check diffrent channel there but the bot still there. @Roxx
We are actively taking steps to address this. While revealing exact details can make circumvention easier for botters, we will have more to share soon.

thanks for you attention, you don’t need to ban them all… just focus on there feature “3 hour got 410g”… make them got less gold, it’s like new world when give coin bot doing like crazy (leveling to lv 3 and then give coin from that quest) so AGS decide you got less gold at the start but the amount will be the same if you got to higher level… so u can implemented that solution to Lost Ark. @Roxx

Just put a phone number requirement, for the SMS verification to start an account, the only con is the VPN community, which is also a pro in a game which communication kind of matters when someone doesn’t know mechanics. insert what you guys don’t have phones meme here
So SAD, How is that possible, now I see hackers more often, I am even thinking not to invest in this project no more, sorry but is not even funny no more, They even auto-change channels so you cant see them hacking around with ultra-high-speed. hope they will take care of the lost ark or it will be the same project as NEW WORLD, DEAD SERVERS…
The worst part is that the bots are cause real people to sit in ridiculously long queues. Any time I see a queue with over 2000, I don’t want to play anymore and go and find something else to do.
they have auto mail… so either they are rmt or some people who dosen’t want grinding. and also they use another software to multibox so 6x410=2460/3 hour raw gold.

tbh at this point u basically have to find a solution for the bots and then wipe the servers because the prices are just ruined and unstable

Anti-cheats help, but the thing that does the most good is hiring actually game masters to patrol the servers. It’s costly but it must be done.
It’s so insane to ask and expect players who are here to play the game to essentially do free work for you by having US report the bots. No, ya’ll need to do your job. If you don’t have people already policing the game you need to hire them. Amazon has the money right? I don’t play the game to do FREE work for Amazon, I play to have fun.
My god. It’d be like me working at say Subway, guy comes in orders a sub and I have him come behind the counter and hand him the bread and a knife and have him make it himself… Like what even… Ya’ll want us to develop the game for you too while we’re at it?
