leaps from unas and chaos are bound
this is advanced enjoyer gameplay and not needed
new players should focus on 1 character
5 1370 alts to get argos nad oreha gold is really good to get considering how free honing them to 1370 is
you don’t need to do chaos or guardians on them though
Def make use of the stronghold dispatch as much as you can for alts that “don’t” run things (lopang alts) and def use if a charcter is fully rested and you cannot clear run them that day. I have 2 1415+ alts that while are lopang alts both are setup to run Dekaluda thru the stronghold. Its an extra 10-12 GHLs that I can sell per day.
how is he gonna progress without doing chaos dungeon and guardian raids? you tripping dude. and what else is he gonna do with his Una’s task, don’t say lopang right away. he will be needing those bound leap stones.
Guardian raids can be dispatched. If I started now I wouldnt worry about doing them either. Because then you need to gear those alts. Trying to do them every day on your alts that have no tripods, gems and engravings is just gonna make you hate the game and burn you out very quickly.
Chaos Dungeons are worth doing every day because its quick and easy. Its also fine to do them rested as the prices of honing mats are quite low at the moment. I cant remember what you lose out on by resting but I think its something like 2/3 of the loot for 1/3 time investment. Thats pretty chill imo.
keep alts at a bare minimum until i could play more and get my main as far as it can go by itself
1510/1482/1472/1462/1462/1462 roster
which is very casual gameplay
the people that are doing what you are suggesting are nearing a full 1490 alt roster and 1515+ mains
which is a shitton of time per day and exhoustion from playing
if you don’t have fun and are feeling tired after playing then you are doing it wrong
Do ALL Dungeons/raids with all of your 6 Characters that can Receive gold. Sell all unbound Honor and great Honor leapstones U get. Sell good Accessories. Sell ability stones
Even this method NO longer applies with how quick it is to T3. If it still took over a month to get to T3, then sure, this WAS a source of gold removed for new players as an option. But with how fast it is to get to the good gold rewards now, its a complete waste of time to build NPC rapport for gold and instead should be building NPC rapport for the collecables that lead to skill potions.
Do your weekly unas, Argos, guardian raids (and sell your great honor leaps on all your alts), Do your life skills and sell the mats, do your adventure gold islands, ghost ships, events, World bosses, Chaos gates And sell every single tradeable item, you will be able to make enough gold to get to 1445.
Unfortunately, the pass is viable for players who started earlier and are making another alt. Anyways, regarding current sources of gold (tradable mats):
Daily
Chaos dungeons 2x (guardian stones, destruction stones, gold portals, good engraving/accessories if lucky)
Guardian Raid 2x (leapstones, good engraving/accessories if lucky)
Procyon’s compass dailies (check item drops on what goodies can drop, these include Chaos gates that drop maps for tradeable pouches)
Abyss/Legion raid dungeons (main source of gold)
Weekly
Challenge abyss raid (if legendary selection card drops; you may need to be rude and continue leaving until you find a party of multiple whale players who are likely to bid 25k gold for it - easy 8k gold profit)
Procyon’s compass weeklies (adventure island that gives 700 gold, pirate ship)
Events (if applicable)
Una task token reward (tradable for gold reward once per roster)
Extras for future reference (likely not useful for new players just starting out)
Boss Rushes (gems, not recommended since you need them)
Cube (if lucky with engravings, and good supply of silver if coupled with weekly quest)
Merchant ships outside main towns (some tradeable mats for pirate coins, but currently not worth it but useful to know)
Gathering/crafting and platinum field (need rng drop for ticket to enter while gathering, need lvl 30 to be efficient if I remember correctly, and I haven’t checked the market for these due to bot competition)
Playing market/flipping (not new player friendly)
Tradeable mats from guild bloodstones (however usually spent on leapstones and rng chests for t3 cube/boss rush/silver; bloodstones currently being saved for next content release)
Will continue adding if I remember other sources…but yeah, alts are required for the majority to earn gold for their mains. Eventually, you’ll be running alts on rest bonus, but it’s a long journey as a f2p. We’re still on expedited content, so 6 alts are recommended for a main, but once we catch up, recommended alt per main is at least 2 or 3. Regarding timeline, I see new f2p guildies catch up between two to three months building a full roster. Just need to work on gold/time efficiency if you are limited in time.
iLvl goals for alt gold: 1340, 1370, (1415), 1430, 1445, 1460 (end for some and free hone to 1472.5), 1475, 1490 (alt preparation for next content). Alts usually follow behind closely to your main for efficiency as a f2p, unless you are in a rush. [Note: A common player mistake for gold earning alts is investing large amounts of gold on 5x3’ing them, rage honing, dipping into tradeable leapstones, or playing an alt that is high investment. Low investment alts include supports and unpopular dps classes (shadowhunter perfect suppression, etc)]. Note that there is a lack of support near the end game, which makes them a viable long-term investment; the only drawback is slower PAINFUL chaos dungeons until you get betrayal set (it’ll take long), large number of supports in earlier content, and playstyle that makes most quit support early on (most prefer dps playstyle).
