I’m goona tell demanding players what they don’t want to hear #2

OP you could have avoided a wall of text and managed to get your message across more efficiently.

But yeah tldr: In 8 days KR PTR will open with the massive class rebalance and changes. AGS is holding the classes after the rebalance is done so you don’t have to learn your class twice.

I have 11 alts and many of my guildmates range from 0 alts to 5 alts, I have spent $200 and most have spent none and we are within 10 item levels of one another. It’s a small scale example but its more so the meaning behind it.

Alts are optional but are overall more beneficial than not having them. Paying into what you refer to as a predatory system will get you some progression but it will only get you so far. There is a really good YouTube analogy from a KR player in Korea that talks about it.

Tl;dr it’s like having a super car and a slow car at a red light, the super car will hit the next red light faster but both cars will end up waiting at the same red light which is why I say paying for anything is not necessary.

However to your other points, just like any game since lost ark is more PvE focused naturally the best things will come from high end PvE content, and unfortunately in respect to your post there will only be more mechanics where 1 person can kill everyone and you require a synergized run.

Also unlike Argos in legion raids you do not get the option to revive mid-fight if someone dies like you do in Argos so there is more difficulty ahead.

I think the road map is being done in a way that promotes f2p players to be ready for content while doing some things along the way for those that are already at “endgame” and we will see how it all plays out but it does look good from a glance right now.

This is what i do, for now 2 month… but here comes the problem : or i stick to ilvl 1340 and then, i just don’t enjoy the game even with sorc or blade (because lets be honest… nothing to do aside the farm i am near to the end aside rapport and allegro/solas cards) I can go to 1385 (fortress research + argos) but not so much to enjoy, even more with my bet of no hope for sumoner until august.
or i try to enjoy the game, but i can’t prepare mats for sumoner, because i will consume them for the sorc/blade to go to valtan, then biackiss, etc etc.
Either way, i get to weeks (months) with enjoying a small part of content.

A break ? you know that when you do a break there is a risk you don’t come back, because in the meantime you go on another game, and when what you wanted is released, … you are on other game, then forget, etc.

Well, while that is true right now we don’t have a date for biackiss and we weren’t told if hard mode valtan is going to come out at the same time or not so I guess in this example scenario your best case would be to get 1 class to 1415 and then save materials. In my opinion at least. This is what i’ll be doing while I wait for future announcements to see what’s coming and when.

And to add, that’s only if you care about doing the content while you wait for the class you want. Otherwise the best spot is just to hit 1385 and wait while you do other things if you want to save the most, but getting 1415 also gets you into south vern for more materials as well.

You problem with the alts etc lies more with just the core of the game itself. Meaning you just don’t like the game. Perhaps u like little aspects, but in the grand scheme it doesn’t seem like the game is for you.

And that’s just fine

But isn’t that fine when you’re not enjoying yourself and when you play another game you are? If I just don’t have fun while playing, I play something else?

biackiss is less ilvl than valtan hard, but if we get valtan in may, it is safe bet to say biackiss for, at worst, july, and as said, i think no hope of sumoner before august (arcana in june = it is already a 1 month delay from first roadmap, july so would be for a second “big awaited class” : scooter/artist)

And more than my specific case (and other sumoner) think about people who tried other class in other region. YES they don’t have the frustration of the remove we have (and with no explanation at all… just “hey, we remove sumoner, here is sorc, enjoy” … ) but the problem of “they liked it more that what they play now” is the same. scooter or artist are in my predict in july… mean the other would be only in august… so the same problem in the end.

to be honest, i did break in wow to go to aion (and smaller for tera, and other games) I stopped wow and came back after for FFXIV, and now i did rotate between GW2 and BDO… but there is difference between GW2/BDO and lost ark when i do the break.
In the first two i love my character (mesmer and darknight + lahn) i love the game, (even if in BDO i mostly do life, farming some t9/T10 poney and big boat and nearly no fighting XD ) but get time where my daily routine bore me and i leave.

For lost ark this is a strange situation. i enjoy the game, but due to the fact i played sumoner, and have the memory of the enjoyment, there is something missing when i play. If i leave out of frustration due to it, and not of boreness (because … those 3 games are mostly about dailyroutine which always has this result for me XD ) i can totally expect me that this frustration keep me far from the game…

On one side you could say “fine, if you enjoy anything else” maybe. but it would be a mess, and more, i am not only thinking about me. if i was the only one or close to it, i would be really less voicy. But here is a problem that touch far more people…

And it is not only the slow pace making people frustrated (mainly those who played the class) but also there is NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL. Roxx said “there is something more about sumoner” confirming without saying about the rework (this is maybe the best proof i found about it…). And she couldn’t say more, and i think just saying this was not totally allowed…
But why did not explain in november “we remove sumoner, because in its current state, the devs want to do notable changes on it, and we prefer to release it in a “finished” state, in exchange, here enjoy the totally fresh sorceress, which is also a mage using a lot of element”
We have nothing, (and this is both ags and smg fault, for this i admit it is not only AGS i think)

And this blackout in communication make it even worse in my mind, and so i think in other people in similar situation too.

And that may be true, we don’t know yet and there could be more than 1 class a month. I’m sure we’ll get updates on that after lancemaster comes out and they see how everything is received.

While it does suck having something you want to play not available yet it doesnt mean it has to take the fun out of your game, that is the overall point i’m aiming for and there are things you can do to prepare for its release.

That’s partially true. While I do like many things about the game, I dislike a lot of other things. All of that is magnified by the shitfest that has been going on since the release on EU/NA.

Not to mention that I’ve spent 500+ hours playing this game. For majority of the time spent, I loved the game. The issues only started appearing and piling up in the endgame, first at T2, then especially at T3. So it’s not that simple to just say I don’t like the game.

So my problem with the alts comes from a few things. My dislike of classes currently available, the systems (daily x2 chaos, x2 guardian raids, x3 una’s - the only real way to progress is to do those over and over - I’m already tired of doing that every day on my main, so doing that on the alt just makes it even worse, I can’t imagine doing it on multiple alts), and maybe lack of engaging content.

Let’s be honest, then it’s more of a burn out. Since you almost played 6-10h a day since release, and a burnout is normal in that case. You start getting bored and annoyed at certain aspects of the game. It’s 100% normal to feel like this after playing so much in such a short time.

Perhaps it would be a better choice to take a small break until there is more content to do, and just play like 1h a day maintaining your account a little and just do something else.

I know of myself that if I played 6h+ a day for 2 months I would never play that game again. Why? Because I would be burned out and just not enjoy the game anymore.

420 hours to be exact (lol), so not as many as I thought.
In the first 3 weeks I’ve spent at least 3h daily in a queue, so that also adds some hours.

Besides that, it might very well be burnout, and I hope that’s the case. Last week I played maybe 2h a day, this week I’ve logged in twice.

However I haven’t experienced this with any other MMORPG this fast. I would maybe get burnout after 6months to a year, not after less than 2 months. So there’s something about this game that’s different (and I’ve mentioned what it is, it feels like a job, it kinda pushes you to log in every day, but once you do and finish dailies, you don’t have much to do).

But my LA drug prescription needs refilled! I WAS DENIED A REFILL! REFIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Great post btw

True if it feels like a chore it’s 99% burnout. Perhaps u just need the legion raids etc to keep you going or the game isn’t as you expected it to be and just isn’t for you in the long run.

And all of that is totally fine

And stages of burnout happen and also interest and activity in the game really depend on a few things including your interests, your available time and people may disagree but also your understanding of the game.

The last one I say because if you understand the grindier side of the honing and dailies and stuff you wont be as let down if a hone fails or X happens which can honestly affect mentality a lot.

In regards to the other things there are days where I just log in and do my main, there’s days where I do my 3 T3 characters, there’s days where I do all 12 characters.

The gift to this game is your rested xp in that being doing stuff every 3 days, 33% of the effort for 66% of the reward.

We already know the game is getting drip fed to us. The hype has died because of this. I among others are already back to WoW majority of the day after the 30 mins of content dries up.

and that’s a good thing.

If you’re spending 30 minutes you do your 4 dailies, probably do hone attempts then log out and that’s how you choose to play and that’s fine, it’s healthy to have options you can do besides LA if there’s not other side-content in LA you feel like doing. Look at the FFXIV director as an example, he literally states “hey come play when we have an update and then go play something else while you wait”.

It is just peoples that want to skip everything to jump straight to the dessert and then keep demanding even more dessert until that itself becomes tasteless. They just do not care about the pacing of the content since all that matters is to be spoiled at any cost.

I am upset because a lot of players like me do not want the content to be rushed and especially since it is actually a good game that can be improved and can offer so much more.

We should let Smilegate to work this out properly with their experience instead. I am very sure that Smilegate knows everything that needs to be known about this game and what steps are needed to be taken so that it can get better.

People also don’t want to accept the fact that games are a business and it makes sense as a business decision to spread the content out. They’re already pacing things faster than was initially planned. As a PLAYER it’s okay to want things and be disappointed by certain decisions, BUT you have to realize what’s best for the game long term. Having those spikes and influxes of players coming back every month or every other month is better than giving everything now and then the game dying out in 3 months. Whether you think it is or not, that’s the truth of it. Sure, some will quit for good, but A LOT will come back. Most ppl just need to take a break anyway

Why should he see it from a business standpoint? He is obviously a player which sees it from our standpoint, from the standpoint of a player. And btw… you just defended a million dollar company with your argument (again).

I agree with him, simply because he is right. It’s rly hard to keep the focus up on a game which do not contains the class(es) you want to main. I can tell you! I did alot of other things while waiting for my main to be released. I collected a fk ton of collectables, made a guild to support new players and answered every crazy and noobish question, helped randoms from other servers to beat guardians without taking any money from them and alot more… but it started to become a boring every day routine which you can’t escape from rn, even with alts. You are forced to play and focus on a class you don’t want to play anymore. Or should i say: You are forced to ride a bike while your car is locked behind a gate.

Anyways… I assume you gonna main LM thats the reason why you made this thread and keep talking with your mouth wide open. I wonder how would your reaction be if they actually announced reaper instead of lancemaster.

Why do you HAVE to play? If you know SOOO much about the game, you should know that if you take a break and come back you won’t be THAT far behind because we’ll get honing buffs, a punika powerpass, hyper express and so on. Just take a break. Does it suck? Sure it might suck for you and others, but that’s life. There’s always winners and losers.
