I’m goona tell demanding players what they don’t want to hear #2

:nerd_face::nerd_face:”don’t say anything positive”

I mean that would have been a horrible idea and is kind of a dumb suggestion =/.

Yes, ofc. I don’t know how a new player on any years old MMO can handle all that content. Poor new players on KR Lost Ark, so overwhelmed.

I’m going to assume you don’t really know the difference between what you refer to as “shilling” and being reasonable is.

You should probably re-read the post before you decide to just automatically assume that something is “shilling” or “defending a company” - no where in the post does it say things are perfect and that amazon can do no wrong. It does however give logical points and reasonings to things but if you don’t want to leave an educated comment and just want to keep posting fudd then good for you I guess? I’m more-so speaking to long term players, not the ones that wont be playing in a few weeks.

Theres no point, tinfoiled AGS haters are still Tinfoiled AGS haters nomatter how often you disprove their statements factually.
It’s like telling a flat earther that the earth isn’t flat with a live satellite stream.

Just to point out that at 1490 you can kill our hard modes in one combo :joy:

  1. It makes the most sense to give out other classes during the rework so that when it is fully introduced to our version, the way it’s introduced is how it will remain instead of being like “here it is, but its not goona be anything like this soon”.

  2. There are 15 classes in our version, if you can’t find 1 that you can play while you wait for something you assume will be the best thing ever before even playing it then… I don’t really know what to say?

  3. Lost ark was created in a way to promote alts, that’s why there’s so many buffs for alts, benefits for alts, gold caps that include alts. If you don’t want to play alts you can do that but you’re hurting yourself to the core design. Also we are getting more horizontal content that provides materials that aren’t just events, per the road map.

  4. Classes are content and if you don’t think so you aren’t seeing it from a business standpoint, the same way that small patch updates, island updates or “dungeon” updates are content. They may not be a huge patch of progression content but they are content.

  5. I dont really have an exact number for which sets are out for which classes and which are not as per their reason for delaying them but I mean I could see a few more skins already being out sure.

  6. You’re reading responses from other players, constructive feedback when provided is intended to be taken by the cm’s and the developers. If people want to respond to constructive feedback in an effortless way, then let them do that, it’s not intended for them anyway.

  7. There is only realistically 1 bad “section” of honing content and that’s because of the lack of horizontal content we had during that progression but it will get better. However, if low honing rates as you approach +15 and +20 gear detour you or make you feel like you have to spend money then I don’t really have good news for you because you have a lot of 1%-5% honing rates in your future. People just need to be patient and understand they have time to get to content instead of the “i want it right now” mentality that leads to spending.

I have one class that I have mained up until now, that I liked. That’s Paladin, but I hate being stuck as a support so I’m looking to play something else. So yeah, I don’t like any of the classes.

Alts just make you play through more braindead, mind numbing chores than you do on your main. It gets boring really quickly, and like I’ve said it’s especially the case if you play a class you dislike.

And again, I disagree, I’m looking from players perspective. Classes simply aren’t content, they’re a vehicle through which you do content. Other stuff you mentioned is content.

While I hate the honing system, the issue isn’t with the honing itself.
Here’s a thread that does a far better job of explaining it

Fashion is always the true endgame, without fashion there is no endgame. Most of us are happy running around in our costume, we could care less if we deal megadeeps, but we would like to deal megadeeps stylishly.

There’s a lot of fair takes.

And while i’m sure we can all think of some worse systems I think right now a lot of things are kind of tied in to some of those points where it may not be too bad in the overall scale of things but right now “X is bad because we don’t have Y” and I know that stands for a lot of the points so it’ll be interesting to see how people feel primarily after the first set of additional side content and south vern is received.

never thought a forum user named roadmap with the salt giant as pfp would crack me up so bad

short version of this topic “Complainers, stop to complain, just leave the game”

you didn’t need to do so long post…

but you know what, i am happy you can fully enjoy game, but because i don’t know who you are, i prefer speak on forum to signify again and again to the deaf ears of amazon how I could enjoy the game with sumoner…

You do a post about complainers… and so, you add complains in the forum… And this is what is the problem for most “all is fine” people, “complainers anywhere, too much complaining topics” …

about sumoner rework : what is the problem giving sumoner at release (as intended) if rework is far yet ? because the more time flow, the more the rework stays a rumor, leading me to think that evne if it is true (no proof it is targeted for rework) it is not for this month, nor june… what is the problem to play a class and have a rework 6 or 8 month later… if we have fun with it during those 8 months? v_v"

I just hope it’s the case of us missing key content that other regions have. However, I’m not optimistic, and I fear that the whole game is going to be like this, just with that content added on top.

It has nothing to do with “all is fine” it has to do with there is a process of how things are done, and not everyone will always agree with what that process is. It’s important to give feedback but its also equally important to do it in the right ways instead of just making posts that aren’t constructive and are just rage-posts.

In regards to summoner specifically it’s the class that most people will continue to demand and beg for because it was part of the beta. People don’t understand that being in the beta is not guaranteed at launch and clearly there is some type of rework happening with the class. We don’t know what exactly is happening but we know something is happening and we were directly told you will not have summoner in april and you will not have summoner in may but players will continue to demand it.

All of these people that seem to be upset by having to wait for classes and claim its their “main” class and they need it before they can enjoy the game just doesn’t logically make sense.

You’re telling me that you can’t play 1 of the current 15 classes and enjoy the game? You’re just going to be upset and wait for a class you have never played and may not even enjoy before you start to enjoy it? That just doesn’t make much sense to me when you can probably find something fun now and get to do content and play the game and then when your class comes out that you’re waiting for, there will be a power pass for it anyway so you can play it faster with the t1, t2 and t3 honing buffs as well.

What are you going to do if you’re waiting for summoner and then you don’t even enjoy the class?

I can relate to this so much. I went pretty hard up until 1355, using only my main, as F2P. I’ve got a T1 Soulfist and another T1 mage, and I don’t even want to play them anymore. I would rather just keep grinding infinite chaos dungeon on my main than do daily chores on my alts, so…that’s what I’ve been doing. It is also jarring for me to switch between classes/skillsets and kills immersion, since I’m constantly using the wrong skills because of muscle memory from my main. One of my guildmates has 11 alts.

I don’t care if I’m on the bleeding edge of content or not, because the content that unlocks at 1370 is stuff that I don’t even want to do, but feel compelled to do, either because of quests, or because abyssals are the only way to get BiS gear.

I hate abyssals. I hate wipe mechanics that punish me for other players’ mistakes. I hate wipe mechanics that punish other players for my mistakes. It has nothing to do with the difficulty of the content, and everything to do with being forced to complete the content with other players, when 98% of the rest of my gameplay can be accomplished solo, at my own pace. Nevermind that the game trains players to expect that dungeons can be soloed.

I am cautiously optimistic about the roadmap, they’re saying all the right things that I want to hear, but I fully expect them to say one thing and do whatever creates the most profit. I am hoping that I’m wrong, and will happily re-evaluate my position on the game, but as of right now, it’s still just a collection of ugly, predatory design mechanics wrapped in a visually stunning package.

What I don’t like about the roadmap is that AGS has control over the pacing of progression and content release. The anti-capitalist in me sees this as them having the ability to keep the majority of players in the monetization sweet spot where players are most likely to cave and pay. Again, I’m willing to give AGS the benefit of the doubt and to actually deliver on what they promised, but I’m not holding my breath. If they’re doing something to “help” the players, then it’s because they have financial incentive to do so, and that concerns me.

it was in beta AND in the release list … and was removed, they clearly said it…
so while nothing is guaranteed until the release and everything can change, the fact is : it was said it was one of the released class, had its webpage like the other has, and was removed.

I like sorc and blade, but far less i like sumoner, yes, i say it…
And how do you know i never played it? . . . i mean just some few line over you said “was in beta” … and sumoner was one of the class the most played in the beta if not the most… And it is not a new game, there are other servers, older than ours, where sumoner is already released, so… people played sumoner, destroyer, or scooter already yes. Some liked it a lot, and now they are waiting for it… sorc is far from giving me the same feeling.

I enjoyed the class when i played it… why would i not enjoy it?

I did a blade, then gunslinger and bard with bern pass, and did a sorc from level one (not even the knowledge transfer) It needed me 10 days to get it to ilvl 1340, 10 days to get up to papunika pass (and little more) with only one “over farm” from t1/t2 chaos dungeon ready, nothing more, no t1/t2 mats ready aside it… 10 days while doing daily routine, weekly shits, etc.
going from 1370 to 1415 or 1430, or even 1445 (dunno at what point we will get sumoner… ) it will need weeks and weeks even with my 4 current character + arcana and even with honing buff… So or i enjoy content, and will be able to main sumoner one or two month after its release or… i just don’t enjoy the game which is really good. Both choice are bad. and the power pass won’t change anything…

Side content ? missing moake star, 8 ignea (so… rapport rapport and rapport) and 30 una reputation to have most attribute pots, skill pots and virtue pots. i have most rune needed etc… (and i didnt even rushed the game like i rush most of mmorpg release…)

I mean its more clear now that they had bigger plans of some sort for summoner which is why it was removed for the time being. I understand it can be frustrating but that’s just kinda what it is right now.

Having an option to at least get to enjoy the game like you said sorc and blade for the short-term is a good thing. It lets you see the game, unlock those buffs, save up some materials and things so you can boost summoner when its ready.

Also I say that people that are waiting for it might not enjoy it because maybe they didn’t play it in the beta and also because playing a class at level 50 and playing a class before level 50 are very different things, their opinion could change.

As far as the power pass goes, it sounds like we’re goona be getting T2 power passes to 960 and eventually just like KR we will have T3 power passes so with these releases classes will be closer to current content each time which should help those that are waiting for a certain class.

OP you could have avoided a wall of text and managed to get your message across more efficiently.

But yeah tldr: In 8 days KR PTR will open with the massive class rebalance and changes. AGS is holding the classes after the rebalance is done so you don’t have to learn your class twice.

I have 11 alts and many of my guildmates range from 0 alts to 5 alts, I have spent $200 and most have spent none and we are within 10 item levels of one another. It’s a small scale example but its more so the meaning behind it.

Alts are optional but are overall more beneficial than not having them. Paying into what you refer to as a predatory system will get you some progression but it will only get you so far. There is a really good YouTube analogy from a KR player in Korea that talks about it.

Tl;dr it’s like having a super car and a slow car at a red light, the super car will hit the next red light faster but both cars will end up waiting at the same red light which is why I say paying for anything is not necessary.

However to your other points, just like any game since lost ark is more PvE focused naturally the best things will come from high end PvE content, and unfortunately in respect to your post there will only be more mechanics where 1 person can kill everyone and you require a synergized run.

Also unlike Argos in legion raids you do not get the option to revive mid-fight if someone dies like you do in Argos so there is more difficulty ahead.

I think the road map is being done in a way that promotes f2p players to be ready for content while doing some things along the way for those that are already at “endgame” and we will see how it all plays out but it does look good from a glance right now.
