I am worried about the future of this game

I said it in the most calm way there is.

I was chill, i was simply telling you that you were missing my point.

Infact it was you that wasn’t chill enough to hide your urges to advertise your favorite game on a completely unrelated topic.

Everytime I see boinkboink or newnewb12 posting something it’s always some white knight sh1t.
I swear - they are paid actors at this point - no one does it for free.

lmao, imagine defending the game in every post but getting banned 2 times in a few days, poor guy.
maybe he will learn to not insult people over nothing. Also godloi is missing today, hope he didn’t get banned again

I don’t know what impression people still have that the entire game is gaining new players when there’s literally a trend pointing all the way down.

they are living in a fantasy land where they think they are right about everything and for some reason they love to imagine things.
Fortunately it’s only a handful of people, I’ve been actively using forums for like 10 days and mostly it’s fine (excluding all the complaining :joy: )

Player Count:
Lost Ark is difficult to attract new players. Most people who wanted to try the game have already tried it. New players struggle to really get into the game and have a positive experience since most of the early game was gutted and everything now is just hone and raid. There is little exploration or content outside your weekly raids that remain that has any amount of player activity at all anymore.

Launch day players are always going to slowly leave, that’s the nature of any game that nobody plays forever. So without a healthy influx of new players into any game, you end up with a slowly collapsing top heavy game.

Bots:
Don’t really matter. The people buying gold from Bots matters. Since AGS never took a hard stance against G2G enjoyers the bots persisted since they had clients.

You cannot stop the botting in Lost Ark. It is a zero barrier to entry game and AGS would need to rely on SG to make coding changes that could help the issue specific to NA/EU. There is only so much control you can possibly do from the outside.

However, the measures that SG added to the game to try and control this problem have been extremely anti-player and continue to make the game worse for us.

Remember AGS might have suggested these changes, but it’s SG who directly coded them into the client.

AGS Publishing the 4 current release/upcoming relase games
Is likely overall bad for the players, since AGS is not going to care if you leave LA to play BP as an example. As a publisher they are not that invested in the survivability of any one of these titles, outside of the profit they make hosting it.

So the more products they have under them, the less they care which one you are paying money into so long as in the end, they are getting a portion of that money.

Is LA Dead?
Nah. Even as things go now we can coast on current player count for a good long time, especially if they look into merges and bring more of the overall playerbase together (currently 100k concurrent split across 5 regions).

You’ll be able to play LA for awhile yet, however it will slowly lose players to other titles and will continue to struggle to bring in new players.

That’s my overall opinion to your thoughts at least, I may have missed some stuff, that was a tightly packed wall.

Why you worried? This is what players want after going through a crappy honing session just remember a plastic hammer than does nothing will sooth the pain

Worrying about whether a game is “dying” or not is a sign of over-investment in the game. And I don’t say this to be a dick. It’s AGS/SG’s job to worry about a declining playerbase, not ours.

There are a gazillion games out there vying for attention and money. AGS itself will publish two different MOBAs this year. At the end of the day the only thing that should bind you and I to this game is deriving some sort of enjoyment from it, and jump ship when it no longer accomplishes that.

so true , ppl touched grass in summer and never came back , only the unemployed basement dweller stayed :joy:

I don’t know why people keep mentioning “so what if the game dies, we’ll just find another one to play” when for me that’s far from truth.

I’ve never been this “hooked” on any game before, and I can’t imagine it happening on another game, at least not soon, especially considering how much time I’ve invested into it. It’s a unicorn experience for me.

You might call it being “over-invested” in a game, but it doesn’t change the facts. I love it and I want it to stay.

But oh well.

they dont have to drop it
thing is in NW there are no economy sheningans going behind the scene
you can try gearing char yourself in LA without buying anything from market, See you in a year,
if not better, when you come back with raport how it gone :stuck_out_tongue:

when you put 10k $ in something you count it will last you those couple years
etleast if its not a trip to bahamas but that dont cost that much an usually bring more joy than mundane tasks in return

tbh captcha worked flawlesly why they dont run it on other regions? :stuck_out_tongue:
it was been to good?

hmm
you can buy PP for in game gold
p2w? i never payed for any bosts and with rather limited play time got full endgame geared character,
atm working on PvP mount, should finish it before seson ends
although started 3 days ago and new seson starts in 3 weeks
thats are usuall time frames you need to achieve shit in wow, if you know what you are doing :stuck_out_tongue:

Belive me or not but with 4-5k hours put in wow in one year you would be f2p god of everything and could afford extra diablo 4 with gold you would make in that time

TLDR:
The author of the essay is concerned about the future of the MMO game Lost Ark in the West due to issues such as bots, questionable management, and inconvenient measures against bots. The author believes that the game has potential but is not attracting enough new players due to these problems. The author is also worried that Amazon’s future MMO releases may not receive enough investment if they do not generate as much revenue as others, and this could negatively impact Lost Ark further. While the game is not “dead” yet, the author believes that the situation is dire and could worsen in the future.

Shoutout to ChatGPT because i didn’t read it either

i never payed for any bosts

interesting argument
neither did i pay for gold in LA
thus logically we can conclude LA is not P2W

interesting how that doesn’t work

That’s me. You and me.

Dude its a video game. You should probably look really hard at this point of view.

well there is small difference
to get to endgame in LA you need to grind for months or pay
to get to endgame in wow you can pay for sure but you can just play for ~3 weeks and get there also

Did Ai chatgpt wrote this essay for you? :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

so let me ask you this

do you want a game to play for 3 years or a game to play for 3 weeks?

because you are giving me a lot of mixed signals here

Why are you playing LA? To have super army of characters? And what then? What is the point?

Usually when you reach the end game in mmo you can have fun in guild wars, siege, pvp etc.
