I can't trade with my friends cause i'm not trusted

So I started playing around one month ago and my account is steam trusted for such a long time, I also have steam mobile authenticator on since I started playing however I am still not trusted…
I tried asking some of my friends and they told me to contact the support and see if there are anything else that they need to speed up the process so I did a little bit of research and I hope this issue gets resolved quickly.

I just want someone to check if my trusted status is in progress right now and should be good after a week or two.

I understand you already have your Steam account with trusted status and mobile authentication, so please check the steps below:

The first option is for new players to enable the Steam Guard mobile authenticator, and have a Steam profile that’s no longer a ‘Limited User’ account. This is an easy path that won’t require making any Lost Ark purchases. Alternatively, new players can also receive trusted status by making any purchase in Lost Ark through either Steam or Amazon.

If everything is set, please contact AGS customer support for further assistance.

I tried contacting AGS Support Center because I am not a limited user on steam and that I have Steam Mobile Authenticator enabled for over a month and still not trusted however they told me that I need to make a purchase within the in-game store and that it would activate in 72 hours or something.
But I tried telling them that its not needed as long as I am trusted on steam cause I already qualify for the trusted status but then they told me to wait a few days but they couldn’t confirm whether I’m gonna be trusted or not.

Do I just wait or what should I do?

I will recommend you to wait the days they have told you, and post here if your account have been trusted after that period of time.

In the case you are not trusted, proceed to contact AGS customer service again to report it and we will have it recorder on this post.

So I tried contacting AGS customer service as you suggested and it went terribly.

I tried contacting them via live chat multiple times, each agent kept saying the same that I need to make a purchase within lost ark with a minimum value of 5$ but after linking to them the forums post and this article which also says that as long as I am trusted on steam and have 2FA steam authentication then I don’t need to pay within lost ark Account Restrictions - Support | Amazon Games
And after linking to them this they started changing what they are saying lmao, eventually all of the agents said well in that case you don’t need to pay anything within lost ark anymore and I have a chat transcript to support that fact as well
But they eventually escalated my case to the technical team and there starts the worst experience with any customer service I have ever had.

The guys from the technical team clearly don’t even look at what I am saying to them nor what the previous cases are, they are more like bots…
I got an email which said the same thing, i need to pay 5$ within lost ark bla bla bla, I then again linked to the article and the forums post and asked them whether if what’s displayed on the article is not updated and if its a new rule or something
But then they just replied with I’m sorry for all the inconveniences caused so far however you still need to meet the basic requirements which are “Spend 5$ in Lost ark, Spend 5$ on steam as well, and have 2FA steam authentication” and only then they will consider working on my case.

I seriously think these guys are just trolling me at this point @Kexxelon

Well steam has nothing to do with granting my trusted status within lost ark, all there is to it is whether I am trusted on steam or not and if i am trusted then Lost Ark’s system manages it which takes months. I already tried contacting steam and they told me they can’t do anything about it and that I should speak with the game support instead.

Honestly I’ll wait a few more days and quit because this is not fun :3

it’s such a horrible system that I would say it’s a scam, support doesn’t help, they don’t listen, it’s been 2 months since I met all of their criteria for getting trusted on lost ark but I am still restricted, they want you to spend money in the game. I hope the game dies

Well its pretty much true, either way i don’t wanna bother with this kind of treatment nor do I have the time to invest in a game that doesn’t function properly; not being able to use market and trade .
From the way the agents were replying to me i felt like they had commission based system where if they pushed a player into paying they get a bonus of some sort, it cannot be explained otherwise because I am sure that Amazon are hiring people who can read at least, the people who I spoke to don’t know how to read.
So I just quit

its really like that , otherwise you wont get trusted
so they were right at the cusomer service

thats the deal when you have so many people buy illegal gold from bot companies which also used stolen creditcards and made fraud with it

Thats not true, I am trusted and i never bought anything within the game :smiley:

And I started playing recently too, two months ago.

Amazon have a whole article about it and there are two ways to obtain trusted, they quite literally said the first way is to be trusted on steam and have 2FA steam mobile authenticator on and this way it wouldn’t require the player to pay anything within lost ark, however the second way is to buy something from the game.

congrats, you got trusted after more than 1 month, it doesn’t mean it’s not true, I have seen people waiting for more than 3 months after setting up mobile authenticator and had purchases over 5€ from 2022. I spent 5€ on January 20. and set up the authenticator, got trusted on steam after 2 weeks, still restricted in lost ark. It’s like a honing in game, every week you have 5% chance to get trusted :slight_smile:

Oh I think you misunderstood me, I meant its not true that you must pay in-game to unlock trading and using the marketplace
I am aware that a lot of people are still waiting on their trusted status such as the owner of this post, which is kinda sad
I don’t get why such simple features are locked for players who are new to the game, its like the game doesn’t want any more new players to begin with.
I was lucky that i got it after 5 weeks or so but even then, it was hell playing this game like this, you couldn’t even progress past 1415 or join any raids because you can’t simply make a decent build.
I hope they fix it soon and give trusted to all the people who have been waiting for quite some time cause this is the right course of action, otherwise the game is gonna die out soon enough.

I can say for sure that I meet the requirements now. I tried contacting the support but they were pushing me to pay money in-game, so what do I do instead? :slight_smile: @distantefix
