After the bugfix on lost ark on 12/01/2022 i had a continues crashes about ONLY with My Sorceress, when i cast a Igniter only on Chaos gate, i cast 2-3 Skill, and my game Close, and keep runing, same if i closes on cntrl+alt+del lost ark and force to close, if i close the steam, when i start it keep running, and only work if i restart my pc,

SSD 512mb
32gb ram ddr3 1866mhz
Ive been having the same issue, it’s consuming my ram and cpu and I can’t close on steam, neither stop running when I log on steam
did not work for me…
I finally got it to stop after an hour… kept just hit stop and closing steam… eventually it worked. took about an hour though

i had the same issue the other day but i tried this and (for the time being) fixed the problem…
- go to steam before launching the game, right click on lost ark on the left go to properties
- in general, launch options, added -useallavailablecores
- in local files, verify integrity of game files

I am having the same issue since the update. It says the game is running, but there is nothing in the task manager to close except EAC. Closing it does nothing. The only thing that gets it running is if I restart the computer. I have verified game files, all is fine, does not fix the problem. Please fix ASAP !
This happens to me, too. Sometimes I have to kill Lost Ark Client.
I don’t think the game files are corrupt, I’m pretty sure this is a bug since it has been there for multiple updates at this point.
Hey i wanted to share this cause someone in discord found a fix for now, you just need to open cmd and type "taskkill /f /t /im dllhost.exe and then you should see the game not running anymore but you’ll have to do this everytime this problem happen
bumb. same issue wont stop running in background, no task to kill but system is taking up alot of cpu usage… found out that it is a eac issue through som google seareching

You can kill your lost ark client? Mine gives permission denied while this problem is occurring
Only way to force it closed is restarting computer

It suddently in the middle of playing starts using 100% of CPU1 and it sticks to it.
If I then quit the game, it still runs lost ark, cant close it, get access denied through taskmanager. and it continues to hold on to CPU1 at 100%.
If I wait 10-20mins it will finally close by itself.
Fix please.
if you have epic game store installed/running then this might help:
this is the epic overlay social program
if you rename or move the overlay’s exe files, the overlay will not launch.
Assuming the EGS launcher is installed on your C: drive, navigate to the following folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Extras\Overlay
and rename or move the two files:
EOSOverlayRenderer-Win64-Shipping.exe
EOSOverlayRenderer-Win32-Shipping.exe
Just remember that this will affect any game you launch through the EGS launcher. To restore the overlay, just revert your changes by moving the files back or changing the names back.

I think you need to repair your EAC install.
To repair Easy Anti-Cheat:
- Open the Lost Ark Application in your Steam library.
- Open Settings, select Manage, and then Browse Local Files.
- Go to Steam > steamapps > common > Lost Ark > Binaries > Win64 and open the EasyAntiCheat folder.
- Right click the EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe file, and select Run as administrator.
- Select Current game, if it’s not the default option, and then select Repair Service.
