I got an message from AGS for no longer playing in NA from South Korea

That’s risky, as doing so could open up these bot farms to be sued by Amazon. Blizzard did it back in the day with Peons4hire under the pretense that they were harassing their players with their spam and their in game mailing advertisements…And won, big time. P4H was demolished after that case and had to shut down.

So yea, these bot farms will never operate in the states.

I track RMT pricing to see if AGS/Smilegate are doing anything about the bots. Todays numbers indicate a panic immediately after reset followed by a decrease in price to even lower than it was yesterday. This is not a good sign that the bots are gonna be gone long. If this mildly inconvenienced them the price would move up a fraction of a cent not down.

Maybe if they actually start permabanning for RMT with no room for appeal people would stop doing RMT and thus our bot problem would be solved.

Because they’re already coming back. Their developers probably just told them no problem, since region blocking is hilariously easy to get around. We’re talking a few hours tops, and they were all probably sleeping/not working after maintenance ended.

We already have them starting to login in droves. But yeah, rip to all the legit players who don’t know how to get around this.

At the end of the day, AGS will only continue to purge legit players with all their region bans. No bot farm is going to even be hindred by this for more than a few hours to a day.

Totally agree that this didnt hurt the bots. I was just saying RMT pricing is always an indicator of if any of the shots they fire are hitting the target. To me it is pretty fascinating to see in real time if it is working or not or if they are “anticipating” something or got an announcement early. The numbers tell a lot.

It could also mean that they are trying to offload assets quickly before those accounts get purged. Can go either way really, better to look at trends then sudden fluctuations.

Agreed. I am just saying the flux was after reset. The trend back to normal was shortly after that.No drastic decreases. I think it would be awesome to go in there and see like a x10 increase overnight. Will be a good day for lost ark for sure! In the meantime real players just gonna keep getting targeted. Casualties of the bot wars

They already found a way.

So, like with VPN drama, we lost players, but we still have all bots ?

Don’t know if it’s really relevant for now, those who know better will tell but steam chart is like that right now :

Between 300k and 350k players today.

One week ago / today

2 weeks ago, the bot all came back in one day.
It vary from a week to another.

I will mainly wait monday to see situation. because AGS is not “don’t care bots” (while laughing about the inefficiency of their work, i never denied their will to get rid of bots ! )

But currently… it is bad

For the same reason tht you cant play the KR sever if you travel to NA?.

Ok i see. Thanks.

you can’t play from South korea from NA, why should it work the other way around

sweats in dutch it’s not like people can travel from country to country.

Like for example from US to korea

You are on vacation, you can play the game when you get home. Enjoy being in a different country and go outside and take a look around. Do we really have to tell you this.

Just make everything from chaos dungeon bind on character and make lost ark $20 bucks

enjoy your vacation instead playing games…

You shouldn’t tell him this because he can decide for himself what he does with his vacation
People trying to tell him how to spend his vacation is exactly the problem.
