Mistake or not at least that guy has a temporary ban - first one Iāve seen actually. Makes me more anxious about what my account got flagged for to receive a perma.
you arenāt the first one, this guy is a big popular player who spent over a thousand and apparently he also got banned for cheating permanently and claims he also didnāt.
Thanks for your and everyone elseās messages and help though, I really appreciate itā¦ keeping me engaged rather than just sitting and spiralling.

No problem! I love the game and all the players who are legitimate. I hope you and everyone else who may have been caught up in some sort of mistake get their issues resolved ASAP at the same time carefully to ensure those who are in fact abusing cheats or bots or involved in RMT secretly also get dealt with appropriately

Try to give them a call! Maybe they will be more helpful there. Someone advised this a few weeks ago. Keep us posted. Usually, CS people working on tickets are not that passionate or interested in helping you. They just wanna get their work done and go home. Talk on the phone. Best of luck.
If the name bans a couple weeks ago are anything to go by, they do not justify why they banned you or what rule was broken.

How would I go about calling them? I just went through the same process I used earlier to live chat and I only have 3 options; āWeb Ticketā, āLive Chatā and āForumā.
Yeah I have very little hope for this being overturned, I have never really seen it happen. Surely, they have their reasons, otherwise it wouldnāt of happened in the first place, right? Iām truly at a loss though, and it so depressing that there is nothing I can truly do to defend myself.
Oh damn! So there is no option for that. Sorry! I was under the impression that there was a way to talk on the phone. You can @ Roxx in here with a short message maybe she can see your message. Maybe even post your char name and server so she wonāt need to double-check with your initial post. Make it easy, simple, and to the point. Maybe she can escalate this or provide more info.

Iāve @ Roxx earlier in the thread, donāt wish to spam, I understand that this is a bit of an awkward medium for this kind of thing in the first place.
I donāt want to mention my character or server publicly, as I still havenāt ruled out the scenario of mass reporting that happened in New World, and according to the agent I spoke with via live chat someone went through a report link and explicitly reported meā¦ Naturally this isnāt concrete, but I donāt have much information about it all.

What probably happened was you beat somebody to a resource node or didnāt skip a cutscene, so they reported you as a cheater knowing it would get you falsely banned.
I havenāt really partied with anyone other than my partner, I have done 1 abyssal dungeon, and I feel like it was a pretty positive experience.
I have been doing a bunch of resource gathering recently, but I donāt recall competing with anyone.
I donāt really want to believe someone would be this cruel, and also for Amazon to have a system that facilitates this.
Pretty low right now as its after work, and this is where I would be playing with my partnerā¦ They donāt wish to continue to play without me, which is sad in itself.
Got nothing else but to wait for the response, which will probably take daysā¦ the waiting is so terrible, just hanging on to that little bit of hope.
What if thereās a program that causes this? Iāve seen wrongful flags / bans really often in MMOs or even some shooters because the Anticheat recognized a harmless program as some kind of cheat software. Itās nothing out the ordinary but REALLY requires attention.
Iād recommend getting into contact with a GM (Roxxy for example) to sort this out, maybe with a list of programs that usually are active while playing. Be it overclocking programs, antivirus software, anything. Those things sometimes cause false reports, and in return, a ban. This may happened because they could be working on their Anti Cheat to get most of the bots out of this game, sometimes something goes VERY wrong and you get flagged because a recent Anti Cheat update just recognizes your overclock program as a literal hack / cheat for a game.

Valid point but there has been no update to EAC, any update would have come in a patch which has not happened yet. Still valid point to bring the issue up with roxx or another AGS community manager.
Thanks for the suggestion, Iām definitely up for trying! How would you recommend getting in contact with a GM? Iāve tagged Roxx earlier in the thread, I imagine these people are very busy.
just wait, keep your eyes on the dev tracker on the forums. Roxx has been inactive so far today so im guessing theyāre busy.
