Not to mention, you can perfectly play the game with 1-3 Alts that require way less time and commitment.

I have many friends who dont even have a 6 character roster, they do their weekly content and they are dont for the week. And they are still able to be very competitive in terms of Ilvl and progression.

nono I got his “sarcasm” giving DI is an example for “you can grind it will just take time”
while it was just a bad example, I play DI and with much less hours spent on it I am doing endgame content
there are alot of catchup mechanics in DI
he tried to turn out DI is the worse example to pay to win when actually lost ark is

Hell no diablo immortal is super p2w, you can actually buy advantages in pvp and crap over someone who doesn’t pay, lost ark doesn’t do this… I wouldn’t even compare diablo immortal to lost ark LOL!.. but yeah Lost Ark is pretty friendly if you play free.

First off it’s a MMO, just life life. If you don’t work at it life leaves you behind without a second notice. Second your a casual, you and the phrase " LATE GAME" doesn’t reflect well with each other. Nor does that reflect in any other MMO unless you swipe. It’s actually funny, how people are so entitled and they go online to post about it.

I am one of those no lives you describe, I played 3k7 hours. And like many who have enjoyed the game since its release, with each patch we quickly reach the ilvl of the next patch and wait while other players catch up.

This balance seems excellent to me, I have a friend who started the game three months ago and is F2P. Last week he did his first g1-g4 with me. He is now only 15 ilvl away from the highest content.

I think this speed is excellent for learning the game and enjoying it. What are you looking for in LoA ? To be 1580 in a week? It’s a Korean mmo in case you missed this info.

While what you are saying is mostly true, i don’t think it reflects the entire way people are playing Lost Ark. You’re only talking about the one who are in advance.

First, i think a very large part of the population already knew that in march 2022 with Argos, maybe in may when Valtan came for the naĂŻve one.

I’m personnaly aware that the game is very opened for whaling and no lifers, it’s obvious in every point of the way it’s structured (the way available on how to build chars and progress).

I’m pretty sure also that casual in-between people are still playing the game, like me. A type of player who doesn’t spend money for ilvl but only for skins and such, but play regularly, nearly on a daily basis to clear legion raids and do other stuff when, and if they can, find the time (procyon, rested chaos/gardian, boss rush etc.).

I think it is very possible to play the game somehow casually, or at least no like a whale/no lifer.

It’s possible to find a way there, but you need to be very patient, not to try to compete with them, find your own fun.

Set your mind : do what you like to do and don’t care to not have the most ilvl/completion roster.

I personnaly did a 3 months entire break last summer, and i can’t play 10hours a day nor spend 1000 bucks into the game, still i clear easily in pug every week legion raids (6 valtan hm 6 vykas hm 6 kakul and a few Brel 1-4l) with my gold earners. Although sometimes i miss other stuff, i don’t care.
Because if i would feel obliged to do something, it wouldn’t be fun. I think the core of the game are legions (the most fun and rewarding) and that’s why i keep playing.

Be aware that since day one whales have everything more than anyone and even more than no lifers, except your fairplay and skill. Do your own lobby, build your guild, be patient and have fun !
