as titles says. i thought with all the ppl here disliking pvp the way it is this forum needs some posts of love.
i like how the current arena is working and i think 3v3 premades queue (even with its own gamemode) will hurt the game more than it will help in the long run. (more balance has to be done, split playerbase etc)
ppl should not forget its a grind in pvp to rank up. you will spend alot of hours to pvp only for single digit of rating gain.
yes you will have bad games were you end up on the wrong side of an OP team comp or with rly bad teammates, but you will also get the same amount of good ppl and op comps on your side if you do a couple of thousands of games.
so you have to maximise your wins with the good ppls and minimze the losses with bad ppls.
if you manage over 50% winrate you should be able to climb.
i like how the cc works. i like how its a mix between an arpg and fighting game.
i like how fast paced it is.
i like that its not scripted pvp
i just like everything.
most of the time if you get hardcore cced its your own fault for either lack of knowledge or beeing impatient. (using dodgeroll in wrong spot or using standup roll in a spot were you didnt need to use it)
yes i agree there is some bad balance going on with deathblades and paladins but the rest is ok in my point of view.
i just love the pvp in this game.
just wanted to share this here because this forum is flooded with to much negativity of ppl who only play easy mode pvp games.
i have lots of other mmorpg pvp experiences:
4k+ hours of GW2 WvW.
2k+ hours of elder scrolls online PvP (Cyro and bgs)
uncountable hours of wow arena and bgs (not the last 2 or 3xpacs and no MOP)
tons of eve online pvp
Hundreds of hours in blade and soul
thousand of hours in League of legends
and i probably forgot a few other games
paladin does to much dmg for a support. it does similar dmg as a support class with going endurance as 2nd stat compared to a pure dps that goes domination. endurance gives so much def for paladin: it gives higher shield. higher def and more healing (can paladins heal?). i think its arround 15-20% more shield or so
Sorry but you are out if your mind, pvp is trash, play a broken class or dont have fun. You are down for 30 minutes or until you die, definitely not the best pvp or even close.
I wouldn’t say it’s the damage as much as it has an answer for literally anything at any time from its low cd, aoe cc, stuns, 10 shields and just movement. It’s cringe. Bard is really good as well but you can catch a bard, and it’s much more vulnerable to damage.
You really think this is better than GW2 PvP? I mean honestly SPvP in GW2 is miles ahead of this game in terms of features, and Arenanet barely put any effort into it. They got multiple casual modes, Rotating Ranked modes, full on tournament system for premades.
I personally feel like this game’s combat would be more fitting for 1v1 fights. Obviously the balance is off for now, but it shouldn’t be too hard to balance it around 1v1s if they really wanted to. Then having 3v3 as kinda fun mode you could play with friends.
Gw2 pvp feels terrible imo. I love pvp in mmos and I legit tried wvw and Arena for 30 minutes and never touched it again. Getting kills doesn’t even feel satisfying idk what it is.
Not for me. Gw2 as a game is alright though.

I love gw2 pvp, both WvW and competitive tournaments and 5v5. But i also believe that Lost ark has the potential to be better if they add few more modes and do a better balancing than in gw2
Well yeah this is very subjective you either like it or you don’t. But fundamentally GW2 Combat is pretty good for PvP. Also, their 5v5 more into it than just killing people, it definitely plays more like MOBA. It’s not quite as straightforward as just jumping into the arena and killing the enemy team.
Yes the potential is always there, but they haven’t capitalized on it in 3 years. This game’s PvP features are basically on the same level that they were on release. GW2 had huge potential too, but after 6 months people realized that Arenanet didn’t give a fuck about PvP, and then everyone just quit.
Yeah for sure I didn’t learn it. But I had no motivation or desire to just felt bad to me. I do love gw2s combat in general though. I played elementalist it’s soo smooth.

Exactly i really hope SG and AGS do not do the same thing here.
ohh weaver elementalist was my favorite for ranked pvp, it was very good duelist when i played it. But yea as theNILV stated, like it is very subjective i can understand people like you which dont like the pvp in there its a matter of personal taste.
