I wouldn’t say a whale, but not f2p, yeah

I wouldn’t say a whale, but not f2p, yeah
Ok that logic I will never understand.
For me is f2p someone who didn’t put any money in the game.
And for you as long as it’s only skins it’s Wayne how much $$ it stays f2p while someone who pay less but not for skins is not f2p…
Sorry but that „logic“ is stupid imo
Yeah it boils down to what newbie said, it depends on your definition of f2p.
In a way you’re right. It’s just that from my standpoint, I couldn’t care less if they spend millions on skins, if their progression is as natural as mine, they’re f2p because I’m f2p
Also true. But until an official definition is found and agreed upon, everyone is entitled to their own and then it’s all context dependant.
The context in which this discussion started leans in mine and newbie’s favor, to be honest. It was all about who gets the advantage in-game.
meh, more like Hype train to “Death” at this rate.
Are you sure? Here’s the definition of free to play according to Wikipedia:
Free-to-play (F2P or FtP) video games are games that give players access to a significant portion of their content without paying or do not require paying to continue playing. Free-to-play is distinct from traditional commercial software, which requires a payment before using the game or service. It is also separate from freeware games, which are entirely costless. Free-to-play’s model is sometimes derisively referred to as free-to-start due to not being entirely free. Free to play games have also been widely criticized as “pay-to-win”— that is, that players can generally pay to obtain competitive or power advantages over other players.
There are several kinds of free-to-play business models. The most common is based on the freemium software model, in which users are granted access to a fully functional game but are incentivised to pay microtransactions to access additional content. Sometimes the content is entirely blocked without payment; other times it requires immense time ‘unlocking’ it for non-paying players, and paying the fee speeds the unlocking process. Another method of generating revenue is to integrate advertisements into the game.
According to the definition, even if there were raids which required you to pay to enter them, LA would still be f2p since majority of the content doesn’t require.
Therefore, the definition you and Luna have in mind is your own definition. YOUR OWN. not an official one, and not one related to the context of this topic (which btw you just decided to hijack in the middle of the discussion).
LA is free to play; people who only spend on skins are free to play, and there is no definition in this world nor this context which will make your reply to me valid.
If you’re going to invent your own definitions, please invent your own names for those terms you are defining, because “free to play” is a properly defined, existing term.
Words have meaning. I believe those were your words, not mine ![]()
Huh? what trailer
I didnt invent anything. Free has a meaning and it has nothing to do with in-game advantage. Since you are now endorsing wiki, you are saying that you can be F2P as long as you start the game for free regardless of what you buy afterwards. So now youve contradicted yourself. Impressive and well done. Youve destroyed your own argument.
Words have meaning.
Wasted all that energy to say nothing… move on.
heh you can get WoW + abo + half of cosmetic shoop for an year in that price ![]()
“F2P” games magic ![]()
have you not seen them make changes to the store within 30mins? I’m sure he’s not asking them to rebuild the game from scratch.
Look I understand I play similarly I was planning to buy costumes but since I made so much gold I didn’t touch the 40 bucks sitting in Lost Ark shop. lol If they are doing a challenge run for the sake NOT “paying for progression” and they legitly show their receipts of paid costumes… yeah sure the player can definitely say he is “F2P”.
It is unreal to say a player is “F2P” after buying multiple character slots that give that player an edge on how many resources he can get in each day. Or Ark pass, or platinum packs. It is mind-blowing every time a streamer or content creator says they are “F2P” when you can see they are not.
I don’t go to a grocery store buy bread and say it’s “free”.
Yes thank you for this.
Because when i said that his post makes no sense i got flamed to the ground.
To put simply to your reply:
The statement that “no one knows what they are doing and what they are mainly trying to solve” is an exaggeration that lacks evidence. The developers may communicate their progress and plans through other means, such as patch notes or forum posts.
Overall, the post could benefit from more specific examples and evidence to support the claims being made. It’s pointless for me to continue this conversation as you clearly lack any real comprehension or logic in every single post you create. Enjoy having the last word.
what’s wrong with that? they are literally free. its in the name - FREE samples.
its amazon. you think they don’t have money? they will just give a cut to warehouse workers and take there pee brakes. it will be enough for servers to live for 100+ years or Jeffy boy wont fuel his Yacht for 1 day. Same thing.
10000000% agree. F2P is when you dont spend money at all. You cant be F2P is you spent even 1$.
Im F2P. and i played since launch!
Nope as soon as you spend money your not F2P. And its a Sin to call yourself that.
I appreciate your opinion, bro.
I also stick to the formal definition of f2p.
Finally, I never buy anything. I’m broke as fuck. But it doesn’t matter for this discussion
