they say that the new tripod system made a good portion of korean players quitting the game, well i can say that the same thing is going to happen to the west servers… not everyone is down to bus and carry people to make gold, and the limitations on how much gold you earn per char wont equal out to getting a 100 pheon pack + able to buy a low price accessory… so majority of newcomers will stop playing and then the old players will get tired of the same process, bus on 4 chars to be able to meet the requirements to buy blue crystals + accesories/books… its sad to say but the game is slowly dying, and its not even due to new raids, but the fact that gold is getting harder to make, especially when the market is slowly rising compared to the blue crystals…
all i know is that me and many like me will stop playing if i have to run 6 raids + some busses to make enough to buy a 100 pheon pack a week…
the market does not even make sense, i dont see how prices are rising if bots are everywhere, and we all know bots dont buy blue crystals… so why is blue crystals rising so fast when a good portion of gold goes to bots?
I also fail to see how you correlate between your post as well. You start with tripod system going to negatively affect yet then start talking about accessories again instead.

I personally hate the current tripod system and welcome this change with open arms. I doubt this will be the straw that breaks the backs of those still sticking it out.
The polluted garbage loot pool and endless amount of trash drops however, that’s probably up among the top 3. You get thousands of accessories a week yet it’s impossible to self gear yourself… yeah it’s a bad system.

You’re right, not being able to gear yourself is just bad…hundreds upon thousands of accessories you get and yet not even one you can use for your build.
well even in KR after the update some players left because they didnt know what a Tripod inventory is… Lost ark itself is lacking Tooltips like that and not just “Amazon games” Smilegates fault
Yeah… Would be nice to self find some accessories. I’ve never found one usable accessory. They’re either not for my build or not for the character I found it on.
Even without buying tripods, with the new system the success rate is double.
And it’s been 2 days (i think ?) that we have an announcement ingame to warn players to save tripods in inventory. So there is still 5 days to do so from now.
Granted, new Tripod System for characters after the update might be a little rough, but the power spike of all existing characters to get all +4 is absolutely insane. I had no problems buying Pheons to make all that possible.
the players quit because they were not paying attention and when they returned all the tripods they had on their gear was gone because they did not save them due to not keeping up with patch notes changes THATS why players quit

Reading Inven after the patch in July, people were being rather positive about it, even those who didnt save tripods on alts, as the 20% success for lvl 5s was significant enough with Sage Powders. - Even Lvl 4s after the patch have a 50% success chance with Sage Powder, which is more than enough if u didnt prepare for alts.
Instantly swipe 200$ for my 6 toons, I am a return player last 2 weeks. All of my friends got full geared tripod for every toon without paying a single cent…
This game is a marathon, if you want to sprint, you pay for it.
It certainly is. People who aim to be at the same level as those who played 9 months ago should scroll then in the first week. otherwise they have to have the same playing times as they do to be the same as someone who played 9 months ago. everything is not easy.
this is what they said about the tripod system, but that was due to lack of communication from the devs to the players, they did not inform them they will lose their tripods on their gear unlike we are getting informed this week, glad they somewhat care about us, but the pheon costs are too much atm
the logic behind the new tripods is that it’s much easier to passively lvl them up compared to now.
you guys just dont see it working out well because of the current cheese where you can copy paste current tipods and have maxed tripods before the swap.
it’s a much better system in my opinion.
The 2nd part of your post, which is completely irrelevant to the new system, has to do with blue crystals. You do realise that aside from RMT and Bots people make TONS of gold weekly. I am confident that natural inflation is to blame for the rise of blue crytals (also it keeps rising faster now, because people are maxing their tripods to benefit from the change next week).
Many F2P players make above 100k/week. When income rises, prices rise as well.
