That depends on where you are at with your roster. Naturally if you are running 6 raids & busses some of the costs should already be met
But assuming you are upgrading 6 gold earners into relic that’s 134 x 6 (804) Pheon. This is assuming you cut the stone you are after first try.
Over time if you want to continue to progress your roster this is a bullet you’ll eventually have to bite. So even without making any mistakes for someone today that would cost 200k or so just in pheon, before even looking at accessories.
I think hes trying to say that with the new tripod system, you cant get your first 6 tripods for free anymore. By free I mean you can save 6 max lvl tripods u got from chaos dungeon etc into your tripod inv with 100% success rate, after the changes you have to RNG them as the inventory is removed.
So that means for new classes coming out or new players who started after the tripod changes, it is certainly worse for the initial 6 tripods.
Furthermore, as all the legion raids and non open world content are instanced, it doesn’t make a big diff whether 200k people played or 2billion, as long as you have some people playing, the instance caps you at 4 or 8 players anyway, more players just means more instances that you never see.
It will make a difference to how often content is created though coz more players = more revenue for SG to pump more content.
Come on, SG in Korea is so weak that they don’t even understand anything. I thought they were made by an outsourced team, because AGS said that they and SG have been researching new ways to punish robots for a long time, but the robots haven’t changed for half a year, so SG is a team with zero effects.
unfortunately i do care about popularity, cuz this is a mmo, you need players in order to progress the game, if more people keep quitting faster than the gains then the game is doomed before you get to akkan

I think if Lost Ark was a mobile game would’ve been better received by the West. The RNG, P2W, Pheons, Gacha, Time gates, lack of horizontal content expected. As a connoisseur of KR MMORPGs not phased at all been warning people of there BS since launch. Enjoy the ride and experience and accept game for what it is. I think the west were not expecting to play a Mobile Game MMO nor were they expecting 1st exposure to a KR MMORPG to be well this. West does not respect the grind if its pointless. Grind for 1 week for 3 weapon taps fail. Basically 14hrs of grinding per week to fail 1-3 weapon taps “Respect your time”
The game IS good, but the monetization was not westernized enough for Global Release. The fate of most KR MMORPGs with a western release.
