I think I’m done with this game. Btw this is no rant, I actually like LA, played it over 1.2K of hrs and I would easily recommend it to anyone. Horizontal game content is great but ultimately limited and vertical …well, that’s the issue.
I don’t even mind supposed “P2W” elements. I’ve spend some money in a reasonable way - skins, ship upgrades, storage and card space, a little bit of gold when I was in a tight spot … and If you really want to throw your money at sub 5% upgrade chances to get to 1500 before most, 1st - who cares and 2ndly - that’s on YOU. I would even consider more generous gold economy and less stupid mobile game limitations on everything, for some sort of fair subscription model (40-50 EUR/year would be tolerable) but they have probably calculated this is better income model.
In short, after 1,2K of hrs and 4 characters over 1400, all I get to do now is high-endgame, which means legion raids and some of standard endgame grinding activities.
I’m not looking forward to these tbh. I finished Valtan few times, my “cheat sheet” note is a A4 page long, you’re either a burden to the better crew or when you’re finally good, other players become a burden to you. And once you master it, here’s another, quite hard and unforgiving raid which you have to do very accurately and with a bunch of randoms, as a reward. Not my idea of fun and relaxing evening. Your gear is pretty much set, when you get better gear game puts you in higher difficulty bracket asap. You cannot overgear, ever, and that kinda defeats the idea of progress. Who cares about your build when the mechanics is the only challenge?

I don’t even play here and in Kr I only play my Artist, Aeromancer and 2 Bards. Not even 6/6 gold earners and don’t do anything other than weeklies since the free mats in Kr are enough to progress without doing anything.
I’d suggest you see a mental health specialist(not me though) to get treated. “Ignorance is bliss” is what fools say as an excuse. Being as ignorant as you is more harmful than anything else.

Unlike you, some people have jobs, families and other things in life that occupy their time. They don’t spend all day gaming like you do. Maybe you should seek help from a specialist(not me) if you can’t stop your gaming addiction.

I kinda get most of the rest of your post. Essentially the game feels less like a community and more like a string of monotonous jobs you do out of obligation like some disgruntled vet whose been there for ten years. That being said I don’t understand your last point. It doesnt make sense to be whatsoever. You can oveergear content by quite a bit in most cases and the idea of progress is always on going. Im quite sure you arent 1575, lv10 gems, 100 quality on every peice of gear/jewelry’s. You might think thats minimal min/maxing but there is quite the jump the higher you go.
This is one of the biggest problems for me personally at this point. Kuku as a raid is so unforgiving that I fail to enjoy it really with my friends who take things more casually and aren’t so versed in hardcore gaming. This is a massive red flag for myself as I always play pretty much anything with my friends because just doing something with them makes it fun, but… this type of hardcore content is just a different thing. When being positive about the raids and everything devolves to such a degree where it becomes toxic positivity, I can no longer even fool myself to have fun with it

Overgearing was never really the type of progress you want in games. For example pokemon was always a lackluster game just because you could overlevel and get through everything over time, where as PokeMMO fixed this by having a level limit system so you’d have to do team building to get through the stuff which fixed the problem and made the gameplay way more intriguing
However in LA… I just wish that the gearing process required some brains. Accessory setups are not complicated. Everything is so dumbed down that if it was any more dumber then the game would just be ass. It would be the same problem that players had with Destiny 2 where everyone just quit the game because of how horrid the simple gear level system was and everyone just got basically stuck with it. A gearing system like in D3 would be perfect for any type of game in the genre
However I guess the dumping down is just a necessity for at least some-what finite balancing

Doesn’t matter if you overgear, game will lock you out of gold prizes in abys dungeons and you will do valtan and other legion commanders and max difficulty you can play cause getting old type of mats is of no use to you. I always see the ppl in same level brackets in these raids, I assume later is the same.
Curiously, only raid you can overgear in is the worse one - Argos.
its good that you take a break or stop playing your sanity is intact but if you ask me i couldnt understand how they could make hundreds of the same reproduciblle content with 16 24 alts for 9 months. without getting bored or exhausted how people can vykas valtan clown between 6 to 16 times. they have to be very wide the game is designed to consume people quickly
Everything you worked for all boils down to do a weekly lockout then sit in Punika. The forums have become the end game for Lost Ark.
Your character power is pointless. Outside of Legion Raids it does nothing at all for your day to day, events are harmonized and there is no world content that isn’t just a scheduled Zerg down. At best maybe you’ll shave 15 seconds off your Guardian kills.
So you grind to hone, hone to get stronger and get stronger to do the next Legion raid, repeat every 2 months for now and eventually every 8-12 months when we catch up. Horizontal died at T3, exploration as well. There is so little to actually do.
It isn’t like Legion Raids are all that hard anyway. We’re so stupid overpowered for Valtan Vykas now it’s just nutty. Clown may wipe you a few times to some gimmick 1-shot but it’s hardly a challenge beyond that. Our life from now to December is just repeat the same things we’ve been doing since you finished the NV Story on like hour 12 of you starting the game.
There is very, very little content within LA when you boil the game down to it’s core. Creating more Alts is not creating content but simply providing another weekly unlock of the exact same stuff to kill again.
I actively push people to move away from LA every day, this game is unhealthy at best. Most of my guild is moving to WoW or NW now.
If you do move on man, good on you, you’ll find better ways to use up the free time you would have been wasting on homework here.
I think its also on the people with who you play. If you play solo i also wouldnt play that much LA. But with my friends i have no problem to play daily 3h+.
Btw just ignore Tal he is just a Forum troll only can speak on a negative way about this game but is daily in Forum.
