Yeah, you tried to force yourself to play a game that isn’t made for you because you wanted to keep up with the hype.
Many of the things you sighted as issues are the reasons many of us play this game.
You play the game… because you want to use all your time in what is basically a second job? Okay you do you.

Its a fucking game.
The moment you start talking about efficiency it stops being a game.
Being able to waste time and doing stuff ‘inefficiently’ but still having fun is one of the joys in life.

I play only my main, 100% f2p and I am ready for next legion raid. If you play only 1 character you will enjoy your daily grind more. All mmos are like that, its like virtual reality, you work towards some goal.

I’m in the same boat, basically just play my main and the game is fun. Got a bunch of alts parked at t3 and a few I level whenever I’m bored. Otherwise I just do whatever is left of my horizontal content. I’m ready for the next legion raid aswell. Game is still fun for the most part but if you try to force fun out of it then you’re going to get problems.

Not really. You can play the game however you want but don’t come around crying that you don’t have enough gold or the content you play is no fun.
Making repetitve daily tasks in a MMORPG just to drain the player’s free time to no fun or even to disgust AND the fact they didn’t find another way than alts semi-mats maker (due to bound mats) to funnel your main char is just VERY SAD and where Lost Ark finds its major failure in our enjoyment.
The reason why many people post here is because they wish they could like the game cos it had potential and is beautiful, but end reality is that the game design is extremely repetitive and boring. Also, many people in this game in raids have a rejecting mindset to casual people with decent time and fortune to invest, instead of helping they reject, what a great social mentality, it just helps casual players to give up on the game and make it even more desert than the result of the failed design itself.

27 guys of the guys from my guild already mailed me about quiting due EAC not letting they play I would toss it to 20k players + bots
Man this just sounds like a rotation on rest not done properly. I have 1 main, 6 alts never felt the drag on doing dailies as I have them on rotation rest, I even get 1 day down time every now and then. And I have a goal set every time which makes it more rewarding whenever I get near my checkpoints. Do you need to spend to enjoy the game? Definitely not always. I load up to buy ark pass and character slot extension and that’s just it. Skins? buy in gold. There’s no fomo on skins anyway

Amen. Extremely alt unfriendly or fake alt friendly indeed. What alt friendly actually means is, if you want to keep up with big spenders in this game you will need 10 alts to make up the income someone can buy with 1 swipe in 10seconds.
“Alt friendly” game that charges you pheons for giving accessory to your alt. “Alt friendly” game that removed roster bound mats (in our global version only) and made them all character bound. “Alt friendly” game where alts are bound to be extremely undergeared because pheons are outrageously expensive, gearing 1 main character is extremely hard let alone your alts.
