The Summoner has more mage spells than summons.
The identity spells just take shape of the elemental forms, but they are not a summons.
The only real summons are the Bear, dog, and plant (plus the lighting God guy ultimate). Everything else are Caster spells that take the forms of elementals/beast to fit the theme.
I think this is fine however, it’s a cool take to it. Not everything has to be an actual summon with an AI controlling it. If the Necromancer is done in this format, I will still think it will work out and look amazing as well.
Pretty sure female Berserker is the next class being released in the KR/RU versions, so shouldn’t be too far off.
As much as I really want a Male Mage (preferably a male version of the Sorceress) I just really want them to release Destroyer as soon as possible. I want to trade my Greatsword in for a giant hammer please.
I wish they’d add a male Artist and Aeromancer class. Just so I can see the discomfort from the KR players and some players here in NA/EU and add “pathetic hypocrite” to my growing list of insults towards them
Yup, its a joke they piss on us not only they break their promise by not releasing male counterparts, on top on that they keep releasing female only classes

You are looking at the character from a large distance. About the only real difference the gender makes is the grunting noise you hear while attacking.
If you’re so insecure that you can’t play as a female character then lol. Have you never played Metroid? Tomb Raider? Bayonetta?
They are female and you’ll just have to deal with it.
Nobody is insecure about playing a girl toon. However, some players enjoy identifying with their character while others enjoy experiencing the story their character is playing. Basically if you are the type of player that needs to identify with your character gender locking sucks. I know this internal “role play” seems disturbing but, it’s gross to hear people talking about boobs and buts of their character.
It’s not sounding like they are going to make more male classes though. I would expect the vast majority of the gender unlocks to be male classes being made available as female classes. If I was going to be honest I would have to say this is the only thing I have found that limits my enjoyment of the game. I’d love to play a male caster. I’m not too melee damage oriented and I’m not a big fan of gun classes.
It’s really not that big of a deal but I understand this disappointment. Also my monitor is big enough that I can see my character just fine.
Just play a game that has male mages then? They’re probably gonna make one soon just like how they’re adding a female berserker, until then you’re out of luck, just like the rest of us that have to wait for our classes.
Dogshit take, the character is literally the most important part of an mmo for the majority of people. For the ones that it isn’t, it’s good to have options, but since they don’t give a fuck about their characters in the first place, why bother?
But they don’t exist and likely won’t anytime in the near future. The way they do genders, is that the male/female versions are slightly different. I could see a male mage being the next gender lock class after fem brezerker but that’s at least a year or two away. I feel if you are picking a certain class because of it’s gender rather than gameplay, that’s a dogshit take. But different strokes for different folks. I’ll just be here having fun with all the classes.
Many players in these games like to play a character that represents them in some way. Are you really criticizing someone for wanting to play a character that is the same gender as them?
The fact that this is not even an option in a modern game is ridiculous. I get that this is how Korea does it, but they’ve released THREE mage classes so far and they have ALL been female. They couldn’t have made one of those a male?
In a game where the selection is limited by gender, yes. Regardless of what your or their ideal is, it doesn’t exist. And won’t exist for AT LEAST another year or two. Korea is the one developing this game. You will get what they develop for their Korean audience until, at least, EU/NA catches up to KR. But to give you guys some hope I guess, they’ve added a female gunner to the all male gunner class, they’ve added a male martial artist to an all female martial artist class, and they are adding a female warrior to the all male warrior class. Likely two of the classes being added in the near future will be a male mage and male assassin. But this is still years in the work.
Holy assassin is sort of in the game.
