I admit it, I was wrong,

I stated that Amazon Games could not kill Lost Ark because Lost Ark core gameplay would survive AGS incompetente, that they could not break the game with updates and lack of content (speaking about that, did they just gave up on New World?) but, here we are and I was wrong about that…

Several friends just gave up on the game “I can deal with the lack of comunication”, “I can’t play with this level of queues” “I can’t even play with other people” oh yeah, the MatchMaking is just broken, the core gameplay of your game is just… dead…

So, yes, I was wrong, even with such a well polished game as Lost Ark it is possible to kill it, by offering a horrible service and just making players not wanting to play your content.

Bravo Amazon Games, Bravo…

So… this the… Third MMO that you kill?
That is quite impressive, I have to say…

People tend to learn from their mistakes, but you, oh you are something special…

Is this another “Lost Ark is dead” kind of thread? :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, they way I see it is that there is a 20k queue on peak time, so 1/ it’s very annoying and 2/ it seems very alive (for now)…

its not even about 20k queue or 30k queue is that u wait that quue and then u cant even play cause its laged not all of us can play 24/7 an there is much people that will drop if they cant even play. and thats not good

12 days into release yet you cannot do group content in a mmo because of the fails to join a instance as a group. I know zinnervale is overcrowded because they opened up the server again but it is getting ridiculous.
I have never seen in my 36 years of playing videogames something like this, not even in mmos.

The state of the game in EU is indeed sad.
I would love to go West, but im 160 hours in with 1070ilvl and a alt in T2 so its too much to give up on.

My friends already quit, they cant even get in. And if they got in, we can’t queue for anything.
I cant even play solo, nothing lets me in ffs. Haven’t done chaos or abyss in days, missed out on alot of mats and gold.

I got on early today to hopefully do some dungeons, but NOPE. Matchmaking already broken early this morning.
Auora gone, cant claim rewards, shop is broken, nothing works.

With EU West up and running, and so few moving over there i simply cant see how this issue will get better unless alot of people ragequit the game or they do something else idk.

Maybe the release of Elden ring is our savior?

oh, I was only stating that AGS lack of proper comunication, the constant and incredible incompetente that they have shown from day 1 and the fact that they let their own game die out (now, seriously, all time peak of almost 1.000.000 and now it’s at… 20.000 and the game came out just 5 months ago).

People will just go “This game is cute, but I can’t deal with this company”, it’s already starting to show, here is the thing, if they payed for the game they would go “I payed for this, I am going to say”, but most did not and that makes it a lot easier to just stop playing.

Look at New World, we all played full price for that game and, 5 months later, less that 5% of the playbase remains, in a non subscription pay to play MMO…

A F2P MMO has it both ways,

  • Very Easy to bring new players.
  • Very Easy to lose said new players.

AGS had it all, a polished F2P MMO, all they had to do as publish it, but No Sir… first they had to censor it, now we have an african continent where the NPCs have asian features… well, that is a first, I guess… then they removed hours of content (never wondered why did your start at level 10? That’s because they cut the 1 to 10 story line and did not even game you the change to play it of skip it, the other versions of this game do)… let me see, what else?

  • Decided to lock acess to populated servers “for the near future”.
  • Then we discovered that “near future” mean “oh, just for a couple of hours”

Look, Lost Ark is quite fun, sure it’s not perfect, at all,

  • Runs on UE3, lacks any form of decent anti-aliasing (as for all UE3 games)
  • The armor from 10 to 50 looks the same, it’s ridiculous, I get that 10 - 50 is just a tutorial but, come one, al least change the colour or something, I have a paladin, is this the game with all classes?
  • The translation QA in non-existent, several lines are cut (easy to spot on life skills, at 1080p a lot of stuff of text is cropped), not to mention that the way they translated some content from the original game, when they translated it at all… ish.
  • The English VO, oh Dear Lord, yes. the story direction is… not that great (“oh I just lost a friend” The player farts “oh, thank you so much for making me happy againg”) but the VO that you hired (and directed)… Jesus H. Christ they are bad

Amazon Games, I know that 95% of you agree with the comunity, is just that one 5% on the top that calls all the shots that is responsible for this, I can imagine it now…

“We have this great game from Korea, let’s just hire a good team to translate and do the VO…”
“No, hire the cheapest on and do the bare minimun and make it PG13”
“But this game is going to be release as Mature Only…”
“Don’t your know that Mature Only means that it’s really PG13 so that kids can buy this stuff and parents don’t get mad at us?”
“Okay… Look! 1.000.000 pre-orders, we should open a lot of servers…”
“No… just enought for 500.000, and get the slow ones”
“But… 1.000.000 people, at least, want to play this at launch”
“No, this is a F2P, we only care about whales, they can take the queues, let the other players rot”

I mean even I think Bezos is garbage. But, I am using Alienware and a 3090. No ques, no issues in performance or lag. I use Spectrum and I dont have lag. I do see people lag, but I chalk that up to them being bots. And I bought the Founders pack, so Ive been playing since early release.

I’d like to know how you don’t have menu freezes? Everytime you open a menu, be it guild, collection, market you don’t get a freeze? Funny because everyone else does and its said to be the graphics engine and unfixable.

No, it’s only the second.
However they killed two of their own flagship games, Crucible and Breakaway which were basically fully developed but were canceled at the last minute unceremouniously.
Amazon should clearly stick with delivering packages, that’s what they are really good at.

I do not know. I have an R12 Alienware with 128GB of memory and SSD hardrive. The only bugs I run into is the game will completely crash sometimes. It use to do it more often, but after 2 updates, it happens maybe once or twice a day atm. You do need to also know I almost never turn the game off either. But, that is a personal thing. So we are talking 1 to 2 crashs in a 24 hour period. There was another bug, but it has sense been fixed and was only an issue for a few days. This also caused the game to crash, but again it only lasted a few days like 3 I think. Any other info. you want to know just ask. Like I said I started day 1 of early access and have played everyday except for the 1 day I got banned. No idea what I said they wouldn’t show me, but i do have a foul mouth sometimes.
