When you create a character and you want test a class, they give you a preset of some skill, but you can’t test all of them, or even try all the tripod, that can make all the difference.
Maybe a class i see in the trial, will not please me, but at trixion with all the skill, all the tripod, i can maybe love it.
Take the gunlancer, when i have try it at the trial, i didn’t like him, now he is my main class over my paladin, soon 1340, because the tripod and get all my skill changed everything.
So i give the feedback to the team, allow us to test everything please, it can make a lot difference in the choice of the class we will play.
You can always revisit Trixion to use training session.
Would be better to make us test the class at start, in trixion with everything unlock, so i can check everything.

I am proud of you for writing an actual feedback post with no pictures Harmonium.
I think you have a point, I was the same with some classes that now I love, like sharpshooter.
I must ask how you got used to Gunlancer dodge? It going backwards is really off putting to me. How is it in combat later?

Yes this time this is a serious post, so no image.
After a while i use the dodge only for the imun (exemple nacrasena exo) when he jump i use the counter attack (i am imun doing this), for the second jump, i dodge (make me imun again).
I am nearly god mod with my gunlancer and i love it.

Maybe one day I will make gunlancer alt. But I will need summer outfit and sun glasses for him >.<
As for testing I do think we should be able to use all skills at minimum which I think we cant do. Also cooldown reduction makes huge difference to how some classes feel. I don’t know how they would let you test gems and tripods though

when i mean tripod i mean the skill tree.
Like in trixion, i would like the same training, when you can choose everything, test everything.
Every alt i have boost to 50, i have teleport to trixion, for like 1 hours, testing everything, to be sure i like it, and the build i make suit me.

Assuming you go blue gunlancer, once you have enough spec you start to only miss the spacebar roll/dash for actual movement. You barely need to dodge anything, and you have a couple other abilities for movement if needed

I don’t like full blue gunlancer, you miss so much from your class, full stagger / destruction point, big damage.
I just take the shield zone, the shout, and the lightning blue skill.
The other are red and work great.
