My friend is getting his first pc in about a week and I was wondering should I really let him play this game ? ( I’ve shown him gameplay and how classes work ) but I was wondering would it be better to introduce a new game.
Pros of playing : Experience lost ark, mmo, honing system is bad but we stopped complaining about it, the end game bosses are good, classes are okay right now ( nothing really stands out other than artillerist always being mvp ) , Learning boss mechanics is fun , pvp can be good sometimes , A lot of side content and progression within that content.
Cons : Bots, No gold generation for F2P, RMT, Login queues ( Missing island spawns or events ) , The older content is dead ( I don’t mind carrying through it though ) , Lack of actual good guilds ( Most are filled with botters on NAW ) , Most players in the now end game content are bots ( Especially argos ), NAW Severs in general feel like the game is in a beta phase or testing when we are playing the official product ( Same with the market )
I’d like to hear if you guys think It’s worth to get him into the game because eventually we will have a lot of content.
Probably no. I refer the game to several friend they all give up not even past the Mount Zagoras. Feedback from all of them is bot bot and bot and no actual player interaction like when the game firstly release.
For a new player especially going through T1 content which one of my friend did achieve to Rohendel but finally gave up due to long match queue and the only thing they see is bot. Not even one real player they can talk to and ask for advice… The only time they said they found some real players are when wandering merchant spawn in the early game town.
if i had the choice to start knowing it’d be like this i’d play on jp server instead. can’t swap now too much horizontal content that i spent time on tho.
Wow this is actually beautiful and nice. Won’t mind switching to this game when it will be release honestly if the current state of game continue where no action are taken on bot and RMTer. TC would be happy to get the publishing right of this one though.
Not at the moment. Tell your friend to find something else to do. The game is great but whoever is running it is just not capable enough atm. Watch how the game evolves or devolves and then see what comes of it. Also, the later he begins playing the game, the more classes he’ll get to choose from. So none of this bs limitations we have now. Tell him to check back with you around March next year.
True, I am F2P but even I can hardly play the game for more than 1 - 2 hours anymore, The most fun I had was when the game first came out and I finally got to sail / see the active area chat and finally hitting tier 3
don’t be fooled by the nice graphics and good looking trailer.
ncsoft games are not casual gamer friendly.
if they did not change the way the make games, I’m pretty sure you have to hard grind your way to the top
I’d say no to starting now. Judging from your post and being in NAW just the act of trying to play the game requires 1-2 hours of waiting in the queue.
Not to mention the very first experience he’d have is the masses of bots he’ll be encountering. Imagine trying to score a tag for those mobs questing your way to 50… I wouldn’t like that especially when the bots are stacked to the brim.
Your friend will without a doubt have a negative view of the game probably curse you for getting them into this shitty game lol. I park a t2 alt in vern and ocassionally I see the stragglers making their way there asking questions like we did day 1 and they were floored to see an actual player. That unfortunately is the state of the game right now.
This game might be here later on but who knows. Definitely not worth investing time in it right now.
He should play the game, but dont incourage him to expend anything if he cant afford or he will abuse the amount things he will buy, and say to him that the game is hard, and to not fomo
Every single friend i had and was impressed by the game, i would tell them not to start and despite my warning they’d waste their time figuring out the mindless grind it is and quit short after.
Counting 4 people so far with only one remaining. This game keeps showing more and more lack of respect in players dedication.
If you’re looking for a more in-game socially active community, that thread would tell you that this isn’t that type of game. People come on to do their thing and leave. You won’t find people hanging around and typing, they’d prefer to Discord and not have to read messages from randoms.
