If you decide to drop the game for a length of time

No, that is the truth.

I guess what I’m trying to say is, if people want to categorize this game as a true MMO (Massive multiplayer Online), it needs to be catered to both casuals and hardcore. There needs to be a healthy balance.,

Instead, what we get is Whales Vs Hardcore Vs bots, with 1-2% mokoko and RP enjoyers lol

i have been pugging until Brel release.
then i was invited into a guild.
i dont know why are you complaining.
i find no issue pugging.
and I would say getting a static makes things a bit easier but its not compulsory for you to progress.
if you like playing with a static just go and make one its not that hard.

Well there is vertical progression content, some ppl actually enjoys it (not me), so I guess there is some content also for you :).

oh here comes the I find pugging no problem , so there is no problem reply LOL
I was waiting for this one…

I was never homeless, so homeless don’t exist and is never a problem /facepalm
are you this out of touch to reality ?

you see, if most people are not homeless and you are then maybe its because you are lazy?

you see, most people talking about gatekeeping are people who have rainbow stats and no gems.
do you get the point here?

I mean the homeless analogy is kinda bad here. Many ppl that are homeless were really unlucky in their life, sometimes it really wasn’t their fault.
But in case of pugs/statics/guilds - you have full control over it.

agree

if he needs a static all he needs to do is make one or find one.
problem solved.

Pretty much agree with this 100 percent

i quit shortly before clown came out and MAYBE (huge maybe) i will come back to try out artist because ive never actually played support. Probably not though because as OP has stated i will just be gatekept out of any endgame content.

Other than that im really not interested at all, i just come to the forums every other week to be amused by the same issues and complaints that have been plaguing the game since the first few weeks and ofc the glorious roadmaps.

this whats happened to me after 2600 Hours in this game since release i deceided to dial it back (because of the current issues with Dcs and me not liking the handling of the game through SG they care to liitle if any for the western audience"so i reduced playing a lot last week only logging in now to get daily login rewards and possible Hot time events and a bit of guardian raids to get them Stones have not done a single Chaos Gate or Legion Raid this Week. Reducing my Daily Playtime from 8-10 Hours Daily to just 1 Hour per day.

and for me personally it feels nice to be out of the Hamsterwheel and finally having time to enjoy other things.

i will start playing more activly when Rowen releases i guess dont care anymore about progress at all.

I’ve had a number of friends and guildmates who took a week’s break, came back for a day and then quit forever.

Once you break the cycle the games systems and content loops become extremely unappealing.

Until 3 weeks ago I’ve played 2 to 3 hrs daily. When I’ve started to burn out, I went down to 30 to 60 minutes daily. At the moment I don’t play at all. I may come back playing again. But there is so much bullshit going on with this game that I’d rather play Fortnite for a while. For example I enjoyed playing the main quest. But to continue I have to increase my GS. Due of being stuck in EUW, I can’t find a decent group for the raids necessary. As you may know EUW lacks gamer. Also, I don’t want to grind several hours a day for just one game. My real life is more important for me now.

I did put a lot of time into the game and I finished Brel G6 with pug Groups and inthe end I felt rewarded. There will be catch up events for newer players or players that took a break. So I think this is a personal feeling.

My personal experience with the game is good and if I don’t want to play for a week or 3 i don’t feel like falling behind. I do not even do the daily chores on a daily basis. Sometime only every 3 days or 1 day on 2 chars and another day on 4 or even less.

When I finished the content on my Main I did learning Groups for 1-4 with my alts. Today I even took a Summoner with us.

Through this way I meet some reliable people that will join now and then. Made some friends that you can talk about anything and other gamer that you can play other games with.

I think most of the people focus to hard to be ahead of the pack and forget to enjoy a simple game.

Edit: In the end the fun part, at least for me, are the legion raids and the character designs. So i will return to this content every Week

OP is right.

It is impossible to catch up.

One of my statics went to wow and skipped clown.

Now they came back for brel but must finish clown for weeks to get the gear and have no mats to hone for 1520.

Either swipe for thousands, or just lag behind forever. They will be brel normal ready by the time brel hm hits. Then they need 6 weeks to get the ancient gear so when akkan hits, the process repeats.

Etc.

i pug all the time and still finish my raids in decent manner.
im doing dailies if im in the mood, i open all last cests at the end of the raid so i get mats for my characters, and that about it, still have my main at at 1505 (finished brel gates 1-4 in just under 3 h with pugs), and main alt at 1495, rest 4 are at 1445+, some got lucky and got free upg with them leapstones we get from raids.
Learn to stop fomo, play the game at you own pace.
and as good as statics, they kinda forces u to try and upg your ilvl all the time especially when new content comes out that need more ilvl’s

only happens if you have fomo, and it seems like you have a severe case of fomo

catch up to whom?, there is no one to catch up just yourself, if u play with static and take a long break is normal you will lack behind and why would you complain at that point since u wanted a break.
in every aspect of life you take a break you will fall behind, its up to you if you want to catch up the time you took off (which i dont see the point since you took the break to “recharge”)or play at you’r own pace.

Good conversations here, keep it up.
