I stopped being hardcore pve and switched to pvp. Static is not for me. I like being free in my own schedule and play when I enjoy. Main is parked at 1505. She can wait years there until it’s almost free to hone up. I just don’t care anymore

Exactly, there is a lot of people out there who would otherwise enjoy the PVE content but due to time constraint or life factors cannot join a static. This game absolutely fails to capture this population of players ( is a huge population by the way )

Took me about 10 mins to find a decent guild… Was I lucky or people are just too lazy :D?
Well, yes hardcore guilds will care about min-max but if you want to join a hardcore guild… then you probably shouldn’t even think about doing pug, as it’s almost impossible in ANY game with challenging raid content to be hardcore without a static :).
My guild is casual-friendly, we had groups for clearing 1-2 and 1-4 brel on release. No one was gatekept and everyone cleared the content they wanted. It’s all about proper mindset and positiveness. If you will tell yourself “it’s not possible” then it most likely won’t be :).
Yup, I play in NAE Azena. All top guilds are some kind of RMT heaven. You don’t even want to say hello to these people lol. The game is in a bad state for the general public.

No idea how it is in USA server’s… maybe it’s worse. On EU it’s pretty nice :).

Not saying this to myself but, If I have the time commitment I probably will find something.
But, I personally don’t… So If I were to try, I either have to whale (Never giving this game a penny anymore), or quit… Match making is a joke, the PVE content isn’t even fitted for Match making in this game. It is tuned for static enjoyment .
It’s not that it’s worst, it’s that people are leaving everyday and the more days that goes by these people become more visible. Basically im speaking here of the hard addicts that have a 1K$+ sunk into this game, RC or RMT no difference to me.
Maybe EU population is more stable, therefore you don’t observe what us here do
Yes, hard content is not matchmaking friendly… and I can tell you this - challenging content in any MMORPG is not matchmaking friendly, otherwise it wouldn’t be challenging. And most ppl I know play this game mainly because of the challenging content.
They actually made content also for ultra casual players (rehersal mode of the raids). They probably could give better rewards for it, but well… the game was never catering to the ultra casuals.

No, that is the truth.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, if people want to categorize this game as a true MMO (Massive multiplayer Online), it needs to be catered to both casuals and hardcore. There needs to be a healthy balance.,
Instead, what we get is Whales Vs Hardcore Vs bots, with 1-2% mokoko and RP enjoyers lol
i have been pugging until Brel release.
then i was invited into a guild.
i dont know why are you complaining.
i find no issue pugging.
and I would say getting a static makes things a bit easier but its not compulsory for you to progress.
if you like playing with a static just go and make one its not that hard.

Well there is vertical progression content, some ppl actually enjoys it (not me), so I guess there is some content also for you :).

I mean the homeless analogy is kinda bad here. Many ppl that are homeless were really unlucky in their life, sometimes it really wasn’t their fault.
But in case of pugs/statics/guilds - you have full control over it.

i quit shortly before clown came out and MAYBE (huge maybe) i will come back to try out artist because ive never actually played support. Probably not though because as OP has stated i will just be gatekept out of any endgame content.
Other than that im really not interested at all, i just come to the forums every other week to be amused by the same issues and complaints that have been plaguing the game since the first few weeks and ofc the glorious roadmaps.
