Sadly, I have to agree with the sentiment. For such a hardcore MMORPG with players that grind so much. Lost Ark has been able to just straight normalize the most asinine concepts. Not that I disagree with bussing (various reasons), but now we’ve come full circle to where it’s expected. LIke, part of the game now is actually paying other players to carry you through the game so you can keep playing the game. And while this may not extend to veteran players, it certainly is for new/returning ones. Which just sets a terrible precedent.
On top of that, you’ve got players with thousands of hours in the game saying how much the game is lacking but still trying to push the “Hey come on in, the water’s fine” narrative. No, it’s not fine. The Copium tank has run dry. If it was fine, the game would sport it’s returning/concurrent players. Many players who left the game told you the shit wouldn’t stand and now you have the playerbase just making excuses to shine up the turd. The insane mental gymnastics players do to protect this game’s mechanics or core gameplay is just pathetic.
unecessary.
30 minutes wasted yesterday in Oreha queue matchmaking, the early T3 is pretty dead… but the game is doing fine xD area chat in some cities are dead, but the game is doing fine
Its sad as fuck
I’m sure and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. One of the great things about LA is admittedly there is a lot of content in the game. But you still see threads about world events, ocean events, MM, Ilvl ranges, PVP and more are lacking players. The player base is pretty much broken into like 3 pools of players. 60% bots, 20% high-end, and the other 20% is flying by the seat. Now the 20% high-end is doing its best to convince the 20% flying by the seat that 60% (Or changes made to the game due to the 60%) isn’t the issue but rather the player’s own fault. Read the threads of new players or returning players asking simple questions. It’s usually met with one of 3 types of answers. Swipe, create more alts/put more time into the game, don’t play the game.
Aha, you defined what a TRULY addiction is. If you play 8 hours a day and this don’t affect your duties and relationships, you are not addict (I doubt it, because is a lot of hours, but maybe 4-6 hours can be played without having problems in real life). I think it’s impossible to not be an addict to videogames in most cases when you play over 15-20 hours a week.
It is what I see the most…
I think without doubt that people that 99% of people that have today more than 1000-1200 hours played is addicted to this videogame. It’s not the fact that you play +4 hours a day on mean, is what you are not doing because playing 4-5 hours a day. That’s 28-35 hours per week, is almost a regular job time. It’s time you are not spending on your personal growth, spare time with friends and family, etc.
yep @pyroaddict04
“its korean mmo”
“its normal for mmo”
“not even grindy compared to others”
@gbclopi 4-5h is a joke for them… try 12h minimum
4-5 hr is casual in any game
You spend just as much time on the forums, what’s the difference?
nah not really
huge difference
why you refuse to tell me the number ?
you should response to @pyroaddict04
Because I’ve evaluated your ability to calculate time and you aren’t worthy
You stated 4000 hrs, it shows me you can’t do simple mathematics. Not to mention, why do you care so much? It’s quite intriguing that you keep asking me about it as if it bothers you to not know
Who even bothered calculating?
i guessed 4k because thats the top number ive seen here by @Falconb
judging by your replys and that you have your computer on for years I think you are a record breaker
but I dare not throwing numbers like 5k or such, techincally you can if you left losr ark 24h open
why are you ashamed to reveal the number ?
I don’t spend that time in forums. In fact, I only consult this thread once a day for 20-30 minutes max, even less. 4-5 hrs is FAR NOT casual in almost any game. If you study or work, 4 hours is half of your spare time (8 hours sleeping, 8 hours work/study). That’s a lot, specially assuming is a mean, not a “some days” thing. If you don’t see it, well, don’t see it. But clinically talking (addiction talking), is far a lot.
The 4-5 hours I said, this is like talking about drinking wine. 4-5 hours is like a 3 beers a day. You can do your life “normally” drinking 3-4 beers a day, but surely you can’t manage your life drinking 12 beers a day.
Not only can you not calculate, your english is also terrible.
“replys”, it’s replies. Clearly your knowledge is lacking
Why would I be ashamed of leaving my computer on? At the end of the day, it’s just electrical bills which I have no trouble paying.
I just find it amusing that it bothers you not knowing how many hours I have clocked
There are some guys in this thread that insulted me calling me “casual” because they have 3000-3500 hours played.
ohh here we go going on personal insulting
I bet roxx wont ban this guy arent she ? @slycks @Johnydepp
yeah I know it “replies” check my previous “replies” you will see I type it correctly, I just typed fast and didnt bother
my english is fine and its not my first language so thank you for your concern
also learn to read, I didnt say you are ashamed about the computer left on, you are ashamed of the number, I know you try to justify this huge number you wont reveal by stating beforehand that you are leaving the computer on 24/7
also it dont bothers me, I find it amusing you are ashamed to reveal it

This is as far as I got. Point and laugh all you want.
Clearly you don’t know me. I could care less what some random stranger online thinks.
Good luck trying to bait me with words. Imagine thinking someone will be ashamed due to hours of AFK.
Grow some self confidence
dude… I promise I will take into account that you left the pc open nonestop
you can add your own take in the post and I will pay attention to it
you can calmly reveal the number - I wont rush to judge
also we discuss addiction here, we may give you helpful advices
