yea the fact that they didn’t immediately shut the servers down for massive lag and disconnects over the course of a week but they DID in fact shut them down immediately for pennies worth of pheons is pretty pathetic
And this should pretty much the reason of being upset rather than the materials or gifts lost.

This implies that the company does not agree with said decision. but based on previous experiences, this is well in line with what AGS would do. So no one is really getting fired here.

Honestly this is the most bizarre move I have seen from a Publisher, Everyone who logged in was like they made a Smart Announcement, and give free Pheons, damn nice! and then Boom nope you don’t get free shit, 2 hour maintenance and they will make you go negative pheons. In Most Regions this gift was worth 10-20k Gold, which in reality is not a lot but enough to make people feel good.
Most of my friends have quit the game because of the amount of time that it took to get to max level and the amount of grinding needed to have a decent roster. There was many of them that actually was thinking of logging in after months to receive the pheons and give it another crack at playing. And now instead of making people applaud your handling of the Tripod update, you annoy the entire community.
Is this some type of play to get people to go play New World again and quit Lost Ark, because y’all can’t be hiding from the amount of criticism you see on the forums, and then to delete replies from Twitter as well.
Do Better man otherwise this game is going to be more dead than it already is.

This is just pathetic.
Instead of running a two hour maintanence to cause what will most likely become one of the biggest debates since launch, why not think about letters before actually sending them?! I mean who sits down and goes “let’s remind people of the tripod change in case they successfully managed to ignore a 6-day-long scrolling message - and yeah, let’s attach 10 pheons and some other selected items” by mistake?!
I know a bit about databases, and if they actually managed to correct this as it would have never happened, no matter if people opened the mail or not, used the pheons or not, drank the potions, or not, … - and in two hours time - that’d be a miracle. So let’s be prepared for loosing stuff or a roll-back, that seems more likely…
And AGS, I hear Twitter is looking for money these days. Why not compensate them for a two hour maintanence as well so you can remove all the comments of your employees saying “you’re welcome” when people actually thanked you for the gifts?

Just heard about the news from a guildie this morning - was thinking, wow this is bad ass, ill log in later.
Couple hours go by I log into forums and see this. Just when everyone was giving praise, they are now earning the hate, lol.

I finished my tripod settings on 5 characters, and I still have 400 pheons left.
It still feels like shit to have been given a gift only for them to say, its a prank and then proceed to take it away while causing inconvenience for everyone. They haven’t fixed the disconnection issues at all or even attempted to acknowledge them.
I got 100 pheons off this, and I still thought, damn AGS actually making some nice moves only for them to make the scummiest move ever since release. Would 100 pheons do much for me? Probably not, won’t even get me a 7/7 stone for my reaper. Imagine how bad it is for all the players who are F2P and really needed this.
Its not like they gave out an insane amount. Just a bit.
Lets assume you are super dedicated to this game, spend over $100 in character slots alone to get 240 pheons. Bro, 240 pheons will most likely not even result in a 7/7 stone.
Instead they make the scummiest decision since release and leave a sh!t sour taste in everyone’s mouth
