Imagine playing Lost ARK with High End Computer at 40 FPS

Basically my computer has Intel I7 10th + RTX 3070 + 32 RAM DDR4 and lately the game runs below 60 FPS even at medium quality. I contacted support 4 times and their final resolution was change it to lower to have more FPS.

Lowering the quality of Lost Ark to maybe play at 60 FPS. This is definitely a joke, I do play other games like Doom Eternal, Ace Combat 7, COD Vanguard and Warzone, many others at Ultra getting an avg framerate of 130 to 200 FPS. They say it was escalated for the 4th time, like on previous tickets just to tell me that my device should run Lost Ark perfectly fine.

I just want to let you know guys how AG support doesn’t show they do care about issues that are reported to them.

casual spec

I wonder whats causing your issues, thats super odd.

Im playing on an RTX2060 and an i5 3600 both at stock and getting between 70-120fps on average, my low lows come down to 50ish when I have max population on screen. (Im also on ultra) O_o

My resolution is 21:9 3440x1440 on a 144hz monitor. Im on native res / boarderless.

When does it happen to you and how consistent is it?

Are you playing lost ark in full screen windowes by chance?

Mostly on Chaos Dungeons or Open places with lot of Foes. This issue often occurs while using Sorcerer or Dead Eye

Full Screen 1920x1080

Oh if it’s full screen and now windowed then ya that’s weird… Oh check your Nvidia settings to see if there is any fps override manually set for certain applications (you might have checked already but in case you havent)

Syrios just wondering do you have your chat open with all loot exp etc?

Yeah the game runs poorly because (I guess) this whole game is a big bowl of spaghetti full off unnecessary process.
In chaos dungeon it helps a lot if you make a chat tab that shows nothing. (no loot, no system message, nothing) It will increase your fps at least in chaos dungeons.

I have no problem with 2560x1080 60 FPS HIGH settings with i7 7700k rtx2070 16 gb ram.

You should reinstall the game, update your vga driver.

I have i9 9900k and using my RTX 2080ti at 50% power limit and i still get 120 FPS (both full screen and borderless) at 3840x1600 at high settings. The problem must be in other place.

I would potentially check and update the following;

  • Graphic drivers
  • RAM Clock speeds (check if in dual channel) if you’ve got 8GB of ram or below, Id highly recommend that get bumped to 16 or 32.
  • Monitor CPU temps if its throttling this could be the cause under stress
  • Monitor GPU temps if its throttling this could be the cause under stress
  • Close any uncecessary background applications which might be taking up your RAM (eg chrome)
  • Check voltages to ensure all your components are being adequately powered.
  • If you’re still runing standard mechanical HDD’s Id recomment changing those to an SSD or onboard NVME (if your motherboard can take one)

Erm, thats all I can think of D:

I tried everything. Also had to cap at 60 fps or game would crash pretty often. There are a lot of people having issues with this

I’ll mark this a ‘solution’ Since it’s the only work around available. Creating an specifict Nvidia profile just to play Lost Ark with all filters deactivated has sightly increased the FPS, but again, it is an issue with the game that is running poorly on some devices

i’m just shocked to see people still running 1080
