So now that EUW is available as a region, and people are considering transferring to it, and we’re going to receive some form of recompense in regard to the Founders Packs as an incentive to soften the blow, and make the transition more appealing overall.
Is there any intention for those of us who have purchased a starter pack(s) to have some degree of a similar form of recompense?
Personally, and I’m sure there are many others in my situation too, I feel a sense of financial obligation to commit to the region I initially started on and claimed my purchase, which was EU Central, due to it being the only option at the time.
I would love to transition to EUW as my “main” region, but I’m not overly keen on the idea of leaving everything behind that I have attained from the pack(s) as a result of what can only be described as poor foresight in terms of how popular the game would be, and the overall server load.
I may be wrong in my assumption, however, I don’t think it’s too much of a reach to expect AGS to follow suit in a similar vein as the Founders Packs in regard to offering some sort of recompense for the starter pack(s)
Any insight and/or clarification on the subject matter would go a long way within the community I am sure, and it would help quell a lot of the player bases concerns.
I apologise if this comes across as entitled, it’s not meant to, I’m just seeking a definitive statement from an official representative so I know what we can expect.
Not enough people have brought this up yet, it’s massively unfair that we are being left out on this. I can happily forget about the twitch drops, and get over leveling back up, etc, but I want my founders AND my starter pack if I move to EUW otherwise I’ve spent money on nothing essentially if I move.
We are issuing the second chest for any player who already used their founder pack on a server and we are issuing a mounts, pets and some chest to any player who decided to start new on the EU West servers, you can learn more here:
Unfortunately, it doesn’t, as we are not talking about founders packs, we are talking about the £60 we spent on the Vanquisher pack before we were ever aware of EU west… Which even if we wanted to spend another £60 buying again (which no one is going to want too) we cant as its limited to one purchase per account. Also, GALATUR players are getting the mount and pet from that pack for free for their troubles.
I dont know if i speak for anyone but myself im more than happy to nuke my level 50 character and roster on eu central now that you have made all my friends play on EU W due to Q times being hours long to get my starter pack on EU W i dont see how you can say vanquisher are not transferable when you are giving the founders a WHOLE NEW PACK to redeem
all of this lack of compensation for starter pack holders is just gonna cause more people to stay on EU Central and divide friends groups
And they are giving all Galatur server players the vanquisher pet and horse for free don’t forget whereas if you have bought the pack, well tough luck.
While I do appreciate your presence within the thread, as it shows you’re actively paying attention to the forums, I feel as if you’ve missed the mark on my initial query. I do understand that the Founder’s Packs are being re-issued to the player base, and I’m grateful for that.
My query is as to whether or not there is going to be, at some point soon, or in the future, any form of recompense for those of us who have purchased, and redeemed the starter packs on EU Central, since at the time of purchase/redemption, that was the only region available, without any information that EUW was actually in the work, which would have changed how myself, and others, would have utilised their starter packs.
I appreciate that you’ll pass this feedback along to others, hopefully you’re able to give us a more definitive response, so that we, as players can make our decision.
Yeah, it seems I didn’t understand your initial concern, to address your concern there are no plans at the moment but we’ll surely let you know if that changes using the official forum and/or official site @nirameth .
I do appreciate the response by the way, no intention to seem stand-offish, I’m sure you can see our frustration as customers who have been blindsided by changes out of our control. I hope to see some updates on this in the future - thanks for the replies! I will voice my concerns on feedback at some stage.
Thanks for the update its been confusing my group of friends as some of us bought founders and some only purchased packs after launch so we were looking for clarification.
This leaves us in a really tricky situation. While our group wants to move to EU west because EUC is unplayable we can’t because some of us didnt have founders packs so wont get the post launch starter pack stuff they paid for so arent going to want to move. These are our real life friends so we cant leave them behind so our whole group is stuck on servers with huge queues and broken group matchmaking.
You should really consider handing out a second claim on these starter packs for people switching regions. Just like previous posters mentioned it feels really annoying to have to switch servers because the current ones aren’t working properly and not getting the stuff you payed for.
@Stooh well? Its been almost a week now. What had changed? Myself and plenty others who relocated to EUW and bought and claimed starter pack back in EUC would like to know what to do now? I even tried to buy it again but its prohibited… Why?
