Did this happen? Or we will get more updates on this? The reason I am asking is because the news is a bit unclear on timeline. I’m very excited if it has not happened yet and the anticipation is getting to me. BUT, if it did happen…I see no changes in bot population and spam which is disconcerting.

Not yet. Still seeing dozens of bots run past me phasing through the wall.
Prepare for thousands of false positive bans, and suspensions, as we have already been seeing a ton of that without their supposed “New Tools”. I will believe it when I see it, as of this moment, I still see hundreds doing their normal routines.
It’s happening over time, however this will just be one step of many; we will continue to remove accounts as they come up, and are also working on tools in the meantime to make it harder for them to exist in the first place. It’s an ongoing battle for sure.
Not sure what the point in announcing it in advance is, just makes players worry that they’ll be flagged as bots accidentally due to the recent other issues in the gap between announcement and implementation.
Yeah people should be more than a little wary of this due to new world’s development cycle, which I’d encourage any lost ark player to look into.
That’s strange…if its happening over time then how do you know there’s 1 mil to be banned? If you already know how many and who to ban why aren’t they banned then?

Yeah I guess the other issue is it’s acting as a warning light to anyone botting to stop doing the bot type activities (temporarily), not sure I’ve seen another mmo announce it in advance. And if they already have the list, why isn’t it done instantly/in one go?
Our list of accounts being banned is currently over 1 million, and they are being banned right now alongside the announcement, but the system isn’t instantaneous. Beyond that, over time/active process means that number will just continue to grow past what we originally announced, ie, we aren’t just doing this one wave and then calling it good.
Just wanted to say, thank you for posting ahead of time so players accidentally affected are aware of how/why, and where to appeal.
Thank you for working towards solving what I consider my only valid complaint so far about Lost Ark.
I love this game and will continue to support it and the staff.

I believe the only people who might be affected are people who used tools like auto clicker or similar tools to remain in-game.

They wouldn’t have to keep banning bots if we had an ID system to log in.
I mean if you have a distorted view on everything sure. But no one acted like that lmao.
The real issue is the players that will get caught in this. There are questionable actions with EAC to begin with. Glad to see BOTs being taken seriously at least.
Why keep fighting? The main profit source of the robot is the coin reward of the 1-26 purple task, cancel or reduce the coin reward of those several tasks can be ah? Why does it have to be unnecessary?
I believe I may have been mis-identified as a bot in this ban wave. When I launch the game, I get an error “Cannot connect to the server.” This is shown before the server list even loads. I have never used any sort of automation to play the game or to keep me logged in. I’ve only ever played the game as intended.
@Roxx Is this what players will see if their accounts have been mis-identified? What is the quickest path to restore access?
make reward from king luttera rapport 2 gold coin when you reach amicable and change that to friendly… so when you reach friendly got 7 gold coin… it will give huge impact to the bot.
