Yes you are. Those who largely enjoy D3+ aren’t even those who form the playerbase of PoE as it attracts an even more different kind of an audience that is based on even older forms of ARPG experiences
Now I’m not even sure what you’re looking to get from LoA compared to something like D4 besides character customization and boss mechanics, which will be relevant to the gameplay itself at the beginning of the game’s life when there’s 0 power creep in the game. The variances in abilities, their CC and all sorts of mechanics regarding the mobs and bosses were relevant in D3 too for a very long time. So the one thing that LoA has better is that it has better looking characters due to the customization and dyeing systems
I reached D3 HC Seasonal EU Top 10 back in the day during first seasons when it was competitive and I love the gameplay, but I would rather go touch grass than have anything to do with PoE
I think you are saying this because you see them as a different genre (LA vs D4).
I see them as an ARPG.
I know what is Lost Ark. Old enginge, old graphics, grindy and other players can easily ruin your experience also good raid experience and enjoyable combat.
Diablo 4 will be a true ARPG. If you want a Lost Ark with ebtter graphics this is clearly not that game. Not even close. BUT. It will be new, it will have better graphics, better enginge, no EAC, no bots, no RMT, no gatekeep and other irritating aspect.
Also it has a chance that it will be bad.
I can tell you that Diablo 4 will be enjoyable if you played a couple hunder hour in D3 or D2 but surely it doesnt have the content to play it with 1000-5000 hour in 1 year like in Lost Ark (because Lost Ark is an MMOARPG) only if you are really a fan.
But it will be good to play something new that ARPG and probably I wont play Lost Ark fomr D4 release. Even if I will, I will play only with 1 char and I wont do daily stuff. Just weekly Brel G1-G4 and I’m out.

Only one of my buddiest went to PoE and they were always complaining about D2 vs. D3 anyways compared to the rest of us who saw D3 as a pure upgrade so
If your goal is to be in the top X and this is only what you want then I heard that it was a problem.
But just compare that kind of botting with Lost Ark. None of them are good or better than the other but if I have to choose, I will choose Diablo botters.
Its the only reason. If u play for normal aspekt like now with D3/PoE or LA or whatever ARPG Style like a casual u geting bored after few weeks/months then u finished the main things.
Its always funny then people try to trash talk a Game and switch to the same Genre. XD
I dont know why is it funny for you. There are tons of problem with Lost Ark right now. I can say at least 20 things that I have a problem with it.

Diablo and PoE are hack and slash games. U dont play it for the love of good grafiks/engine/story etc. U do it once. In long term u want to brain dead grind your ass off if u wana play the game longer then 1 Month.
Its the same with MMOs like WoW/LA If u wana play longer end play end Game. Ofc u need to grind. (or swipe)

Obviously D4 will have problems, its Blizzard. Every game has its own problems.
