Is coaching for in-game gold/IRL money considered RMT?

If someone wanted to pay me with either gold or irl money to teach them how to do valtan/vykas/clown, not pilot their character not bus them just watch over discord as they play and give pointers, would that be against ToS or no? Would appreciate an official stance on this.

If you are accepting real money outside of the game for services or goods inside of the game it is considered RMT.

If you are just accepting payment via in-game gold there shouldn’t be any issue with that.

If you’re giving advice and dos/don’ts I feel that should be fine, that’s basically what twitch streamers and youtubers are doing and making money off it.

As long as you’re not piloting their accounts for them.

IF real currency is involved in any way outside of Royal Crystals than yes, that is a “Real Money Transaction(RMT)” against the ToS. Is it actionable? Who knows there are plenty of factors. Like if someone sends you IRL money and you are playing the game with them, that isn’t AGS business unless you are broadcasting in-game specifically taking people’s real money to teach them.

They could be sending you money for any number of real life reasons and teaching in-game is perfectly normal.

In Game if they are sending you gold they farmed themselves, they can give you that gold for any reason they want, it’s their gold. (IF it’s RMT purchased gold that gets tracked to you, different story)

“Yo Homie, send me 20 bucks I wanna order a pizza but I’m broke”
“Sure man, I gotchu”
“Thanks, anyway put together a party I’ll come help you learn.”

Yeah idk who in their right mind would pay real money for “coaching”

or even in-game gold for that matter. There are plenty of people who provide these services for free.

or you could just go on YouTube and watch a guide like most people

I’m pretty sure advertising this in-game would just lead to you being mass reported for spam or possibly even gold selling/RMT.

@kitingishard if you’re looking to make a profit on this game the only legitimate way to do that is to stream it.

People learn better with coaching rather than watching some video since the advice given can be linked to their gameplay and they experience what they did wrong or right.

That being said. Paying real money for it seems dumb.

As long as it doesn’t involve both in game gold/items and real world money, it’s not RMT. As long as you’re not account sharing to clear raids for them which is not RMT but also against ToS.

I would also like to know if accepting gold or real life dollars in exchange for shoutcasting services provided to random PUG clown fiestas is against the TOS.

RMT = real money trade

thus if anything is being transacted for real money other than the items provided by SG/AGS in their shop it is considered RMT

thanks for coming to my TED talk
