Is it normal to play 3 months everyday 11+ hours and have 1000-1400+ play hours?

It’s definitely not normal but addiction requires a little more than just hours accumulated since for example, your job involves streaming the game it might not be an addiction. The game has been out for 86 days including early release time, that’s 2064 hrs total. If you are averaging 12hr+ in a video game every day for 3 month straight when it’s not required, it would probably be considered an addiction. even if it is part of your job, getting unto 14-16hr per day average would probably be considered an addiction. Just because it’s part of a job doesn’t mean you can’t be addicted.

Honestly? It’s not normal.

People with 1.4k+ hours ?

Play everyday.

They literally wake up, boot up lost ark, play, eat, shit, sleep. repeat.

no job, living and wasting away their life under someones else care, or rich AF and retired/streamer as a job.

Many does not fall on the last one.

So they just literally rarely ever do touch grass.

I’m talking 1-2 days max out of a month if even…barely going outside longer than 8+ hrs.

Maybe even worse like 1-2 days only out of 3 months…

But hey not my problem.

What an absolutely horrid way of thinking.

I don’t know about your expertise in psychology (I’m sensing 0) but you have absolutely no idea how impactful it is to hibdering social development.

There’s truth behind jokes of gamers being akward or cringe around other people or girls and if you think that as long as the law allows it then it’s fine, you are the type of person that’s missed the lessons on common sense.

I dread people like you that only respond to the stick.

Disgusting…

If you arent being a burden to other people and are able to sustain yourself, do whatever you like.

At the end of the road, everything you did will be meaningles. If you feel the need to acomplish something, its just your brain trying to cope with the fear of dead, leaving some legacy or family behind in hope to live forever.

Bro haha you can literally have a job and at the same time have 1k+ hours into the game, thats literally me, also whats this “wasting away their life” wtf, it’s never a waste if you have fun/enjoy it… whats better? go outside, drink alcohol every day? play futball everyday? spend 8 hours in the gym? watch netflix all day? sit outside your house watching people pass? everyone have different goals in life, if playing video games is not your goal that’s fine but that doesn’t mean other people are wasting away their life" I could say you are wasting away your life if you work for more than 8 hours a day on a job that you don’t like :v
Everything is fine if you are not hurting anyone (Including yourself)
I hate when people try to define what is “normal” and what people SHOULD be doing

I think thats a bit much, but whats the old saying, “Wasted time enjoyed, isnt wasted?” I have a full time job, go to the gym in the afternoons, so only have like maybe 3-4 to play each day, but all day on weekends.

I have a full time job, a wife and a kid. My 2 week play time was ~160 hours. I believe it is a problem as I am ambusing my sleep.

Limmiting myself to play up to 4 hours on weekdays and up to 10 hours on weekends would be more balanced. Is this addiction? probably it is, but if it wasnt LA I’d probably find other activity to be addicted to. Probably it depends on your personality and mindset. I believe as time goes by you get less interested, bored and initial inertion decreases.

I have been play LoL for 10 years, after I quit I hardly play it anymore, while nostalgia is still there. Personally I think as long as activity is meaningful to you, does not impact your health or relationships it is your business what to do.

Did you have something better to do? I got to where you are and decided the game wasn’t fun, so I am taking a break. Warframe released Angels Of Zariman, so I am checking that out.

And Guardian Raida really upset me, tbh. I want to see the enemies health. And nit being able to see the health doesn’t make the game more challenging. Instead I feel like I am beating on a practice dummy that will eventually fall apart or I will run out of time after 20 minutes.

Also, they have no idea how to handle bots, every idea they come up with is bad. Guess, Elon Musk is gonna have to teaxh them how to defeat bots. I would help, but they wont even listen, so fk um.

The better question is do you have any long term goals in your real life that your playtime is getting in the way of? That’s roughly 8 hours a day, are you not getting all your bills paid, work done, etc? Do you find yourself taking time off work so you can play more? If so, yes, that’s a problem. And even if you are, that’s still breaking even. As it is, i typically only get time to play like 3 hours a day on the weekdays and anywhere from 5-8 hours on the weekends and that’s pushing it. With my schedule id have 700 hours or less after 3 months compared to your 1k, but that’s leaving plenty of time for real life. So don’t take my number as a guideline, read the other advice, make time for stuff that makes your quality of life better too.

Yeah that’s not healthy. As I’ve aged I have noticed people spend way too much time bingeing video games now, much more than when I used to be a hardcore gamer. I don’t get as much time as I used to, as I have a full time job and a fiancee now, but even if I didn’t I would still say 8 hours a day max is pushing it. I guess if it’s your career, then 11+ would be fine, but people need physical interaction with other people otherwise your more fulfilling goals in life get pushed off. I’m all for people doing what they enjoy, so if it makes you happy that’s great, but you have to realize playing that much is totally weird.

so bathing twice a year is a problem in your opinion? even if soap is used for one of them?

No one asked for yours

Whats life

totally normal.
according to the forum it is also notmal to spend tons of money on p2w mechanics because you are jus “supporting” the game

tell you what is not good for your life:
spending more than 1% of your income per month on this game unless you are settled for life or you are a millionaire

spending more than 4h a day on any pc gamr unless it is your job

dont come and say heho i dont have anything better to do so i spend 1k per month. Nope, just tell you there is always something better to do with that money. also swiping doesnt even do too much and it wont let you enjoy the game more than if you wouldnt swipe

Right there with ya bud.

We all waste our life some how or another. If that is how you want to waste yours, congrats.

I have 800 hours, I don’t think its normal. And this includes the time I spent playing beta. That’s 6-8 hours a day everyday, then the 7 days on beta. I work a full time job, do errands everyday for family and somehow fit it in…it’s still a hardcore time investment.

Meanwhile people are sinking 16+ hours a day everyday for months…

lol.

I’m at 900 hours, but probably 30% of it is waiting semi-afk for timers and events. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have Almost 1200 hours in LA currently. I love my life in Arkesia and all my Waifus.
