Is it possible to play Lost Ark outside of available Regions

So I’m going to be travelling to Korea in a bit for a little over a month. I would ideally like to log in and claim rewards and maybe do a raid here and there, but I remember reading a while back that IPs in Korea were banned or something along those lines and a VPN would be required. I’ve also read posts saying the opposite. These posts are a couple months back and things have changed due to bots and such.

I just wanted to double check if it would be fine to play on my account while I was in Korea and not get flagged. If it’d be fine to play, would a VPN be required/recommended (not sure if these are still against ToS or if there’s some whitelisted ones).

Got ~3000+ hours in the game and would be devastating to be flagged and banned just for trying to play the game from a different country.

Please refer to the follwing post from our official Lost Ark Community Manager addressing the usage of VPN:

While we understand that some legitimate players may use VPNs for other reasons, please note that using a VPN is against the Amazon Games Terms of Service .
You can find this in section 5.2 — “You may not use any technology or technique to obscure or disguise your location.“ While your account will not be banned if you used a VPN in the past, we may not allow future connections with these methods in order to prevent any abuse.

As for your question, It is still not allowed to use VPN. It is against the Amazon Games TOS.

Thanks @HAWK_EYES for the quick response.

So VPNs are still against ToS, but would it be possible to play Lost Ark while I’m in Korea on my Laptop? I realize I might end up having to deal with high ping, but don’t think it’d be to much of an issue for me if I’m just logging in to do a set of dailies or something. Asking just cause I remember a while back hearing that Korea was region blocked.

Since your account does not fall under the blocked regions you will not face any problem but yes you might have to keep up with the high pings.

Okay, so because my account doesn’t fall under the blocked regions, even if I launch lost ark on my laptop while I’m in Korea on a Korean IP address, there wouldn’t be any issues other then the fact that I’d be playing with high ping correct?

I just wanted to make certain that this is the case and not run into any issues with my account later on down the line, just because I tried playing the game from a blocked region.
