I just wonder what these “I will go to D4” people will do after they get bored with diablo, or for most people, finish the campaign.
I suppose that they will come back to harrass us with another game that will kill Lost Ark by then…

Lost Ark’s biggest flaw is its forced alt system, Its absurd to expect people to work on 6 characters or more just to feed their main. New players join then get to 1500 and quit because they dont have time for treating a videogame like a full time job. No other mmo forces you to play alts to level up your main. Lost Ark by design is a game that can only lose players as new players cannot get into ANY raid groups unless they happen to be buying a carry.

one sure thing ! we won’t return on lost ark !! I often quit diablo 3 for 2-3 years and returned on it for the new contents !! it’s something you can’t do with lost ark

Yes, LA does have a very big problem in their gear progression basically tied to Raid loop. You basically going to be relying on other people in a raid for gear progression.
This will work well if the population is healthy, but as soon as it dropped to a certain point, undoubtedly each of those raid will require more time to wait for a lobby. I think EU region is a good example of this.
D4 will have problems too, but as long as any player can login, do whatever they want toward their gear progression without relying on other players, then it will do okay on its own. I see people say chaos dungeon farming is like D4, but they are also doing the same loop thing with Raid/Chaos dungeon/Guardian Raid (gold farming 90% of the time to buy in AH).

D4 already had over 2 million players on an early pre order beta weekend prior to the free weekend. We already know what the better game is. You can’t come into the LA forums and mention Diablo 4 haha. This place is literally full of nothing but addicts who are happy running the same 3 bosses for 24 months. It is what it is. Diablo will prosper regardless and be amazing. Leave these guys to slave away on a dead game lol. Lost Ark was fun for 12 months don’t get me wrong. I could never imagine attempting to get into this game as a new player. Terrible game design and absolutely no way to get to the endgame in a reasonable time frame. Game has around 10-25k concurrent users that aren’t bots this will dwindle down to 6-15k come June and even less after BP comes out. It will keep around 10k users forever though those addicts will play for the next 3-6 years. Just like the Black Desert whales who can’t move on.

Exactly …D4 had more preorder beta players than Lost Ark has ever had over its life time… I don’t know why people even compare ha.

tbh i dont even think that there is much competition between lost ark and d4, as the concepts of the grind are different:
lost ark has dailies and weeklies
d4 will have seasons and renown farm → you have time as of 3-4 months until next season begins (and part of those rewards will be carrying over to next season).
→ do your daily+weekly chore in lost ark, and do your d4 season chore until season ends = win-win
Why? The D4 beta was one the most fun betas I’ve ever been apart in the ARPG genre over the past 10 years lol…

Its only a big problemm then u wana push ranking and cant compete with the 24/7 bot player that farms paragons and ressources in the time there are working. Like in D3.
Actually, there is no competition between Lost Ark and Diablo 4 because Lost Ark is better in every respect.
The only thing holding Lost Ark down is the greedy business model (pheons, high-level content gating, etc).
Diablo 4 is a simple man’s game, designed for the average Joe to feel powerful and accomplished by trashing weak mobs within a badly lit area with a light beam on the mobs to be hit…
Lost Ark is designed for intelligent and competitive people, but because there are not so many of them compared to the average Joe, AGS needs to dumb down the Korean content just enough to meet the market requirements and be competitive.
Ya ya come say this again 2 months after release. Then hype is gone. The streamer/youtuber finished milking there money. And then the majority goes to the next game.
