Are we completely in the dark as to knowing when this “foreseeable future” is for opening up the servers again? Would it be possible to know at least if it’s short term or long term? I think at least knowing that makes it a bit better because a bad scenario would be if people move to a server just for some servers to re open in a couple weeks. Especially if people were to open their packs on the new server.
If you already created chars in Valtan before server locked you can still login there and create more characters there…
Only for new players that has NO character on the server prior server locked which mostly F2P then they have to create chars in new servers.
This is the drama of “#$#$@ i am unable to play with my friends who joined late”

@Hiroyuuki , I think you misunderstand.
Sarshu bought a founders pack but now cannot create a character on Valtan because it is now locked. Same happened to my brother.
I bought Lost Ark early and found the game was really good, and got my brother to purchase the Platinum Founders Pack to join me and friends / guild but when trying to join my server VALTAN yesterday he couldn’t because it is now locked.
He will now have to either wait until the server reopens and time wasted waiting until it reopens. How will this be compensated?
Alternatively, if he goes to start playing on a new server his Founders items will be tied to the new server and will not be transferrable over to the VALTAN server later when it reopens to join with me and guild.
REALLY ANNOYED and frustrated!

Locked server like Una doesn’t even have a queue and people still cannot make a character there…
It doesn’t matter if its even for a few days, this is making it impossible for friends to start together, which will permanently damage the game long term.

I wouldn’t wait for this since we don’t know when will server reopen… it is sucks.
As fellow gamers i understand the feeling of unable to play together with friends…

The only silverlining is the end game raid / dungeon i heard it’s cross server as long as it still in NA West data center but it still far from ideal… hope you guys can play together
Edit: regarding the founder pack i read that you can claim it again on the new server to compensate this issue… but i don’t think it will works for Valtan

The post states “at 1:45 PM PT (9:45 PM UTC) we will be limiting the creation of characters” which would assume if the maintenance ended when it was supposed to we would have a chance to have friends creating characters on “full” servers. But the maintenance was extended past this time and we never had a chance to create a character on server that was released on 8th. Can we please get a day “Hey if you want to play on this server here’s your chance to make a character for a day” after that you’d lock it back.
If you already have a character on the server, you can fill out your roster of characters. It just does not allow new players to join

Rox, with all due respect in the world… it cannot be that Wei, among other servers that are not full, do not allow the creation of new characters, in addition, that no EUW server allows the creation of characters at this time… none… we don’t need another sever, we want those that aren’t full to open, we don’t care if we wait, thanks
I have a buddy who bought a $100 pack who can’t join our server. Why are we being punished because we supported early and he wasn’t able to play the first 48 hours of headstart? This is insane that you aren’t addressing this. We would rather have queue’s than not being able to play with our friends.

Well so me and my 6 friends cannot play together due to locks. I’ve never seen such a bad MMO server management. I though new world was a nightmare due to the high queues, but this has gone into a completely whole new definition of terrible. I’m speechless MMORPG is that you play with a lot of people with your friends instead of sololeving.

Cool, I pay to play early. My server gets locked and the release gets delayed until I have to actually have a life. Then randomly the game finally releases. My friends can’t get on my server so they make characters on a new server. By the time I can get back on their server is locked… Great game
And this is at 2am. Tomorrow is going to be interesting!
Everyone should make a character on every existing server and on every server they add so they all get locked. Maybe then they will have to change this terrible design.
YO at least put a fix in so we can actually play with people we know. Its as if someone on the inside is trying to ruin your games launch >:(!!! FIX THIS
all south america servers are locked, there are ppl that can’t even play the game now
