recently I convinced to a in real life friend to try lost ark, however i wanna help her sending some gold to skip t1 t2 and low t3, is safe to do it or AGS is banning any person that is sending gold? thanks
Officially there is nothing wrong with doing this. Unofficially there have been a number of confirmed cases recently where players were banned for this. The risk is there unfortunately. My advice would be to document everything if you choose to do this - as the appeal process requires you to provide evidence that you are innocent. Ideally make a video of you sending the gold. screenshots at the very least though.
to clarify: The odds of being hit with a ban for doing this are probably very low. But if you are invested in this game you probably want to take every precaution.
It’s not gonna be enough. They need proofs of them being friends IRL rather than the documented process of sending gold. RMT seller can also make tons of videos of how they send people gold, it is not proving your innocent. Photos, verified profiles on social media, high school records or college records, something that proves you are friends IRL.
better make a thorough documentation about your history with your friends like on youtube video on something, and the exact moment when you give the gold. that way ags can be convinced that you two were real life friends for long time ago.
I would not recommend doing this atm, because the gold you use to send her can be involved in RMT and who knows what happens then. If you get flagged for sending “large” amounts of gold (not explicitly stated how much is “large amount”) you get unbanned only if the gold backtracks to the cash shop or fair activities. Let’s say you just sold 200 leapstones and the guy who bought them all used RMTed gold. You send this gold to your friend and now both of you are banned. Want to risk? Go for it. I would not recommend.
you could just send the materials etc instead. or you can just trade the gold with each other rather than sending it through the mail.
The fact that this is a requirement is just depressing… but you’re probably right. The more details/information you can provide the better your odds of overturning a false ban. Even with all that info though most cases can take weeks to successfully appeal. I’ve seen players send their entire bank statements to AGS and still not receive a response.
can’t even send a friend gold without documenting it smh
