Do people usually run maxroll class guides because they are the most effcient and best way to do damage??
i ask because i main a lv 1450 eso wardancer, but didn’t follow any guides. mostly put all my stats into crit, when reading teh guide, im supposed to put it into swiftness.
I would consider it like a direction for someone who dont really know what to play on choosen class. In the end there are some meta builds (especially skills) but you can slightly adjust it as you like.
Maxroll is an efficient start to take until you have enough understanding of how builds vary depending on what stats you take - high crit usually means Keen Blunt Weapon is an efficient engraving while you might opt for raid captain when running high swiftness for example. Thats just stuff you learn the longer you play.
Tldr- yes especially for new alts, the guides on maxroll give you a nice gist of how the class works!
They are not always the best guide build, but their direction is correct. Only use them on alt that you know absolutely nothing about. After that better just figure it out yourself once you have a good grasp on the game.
this is pretty much what i did with my eso wardancer. i have high crit, have ambush master, adrenaline for more crit, keen blunt. i tried to make sure i didn’t over cap on crit.
i guess my question is, is maxroll class guides META for our release? if so i suppose there really is no point to stray from it.? i mean are there really other viable builds for each class engravings?
No they are not Meta. The builds on Maxroll are base builds and can be outdated. Especially when it comes to engravings. Stats and skills to take are generally fine to follow. But if you want a real meta build you need to go to YouTube and find korean players build guides.
some of them are meta, some of them arent, in general you should just check loawa builds to get an idea of where the endgame builds go to and then go back and make a working build with the info fitted to our current gear / stats from there
Maxroll is kind of the site where you to get an idea of what to do if you’ve really no clue how you build your class.
Just keep on mind that there are other good builds out there that may fit your playstyle more.
For more in-depth guides people tend to use Google docs specifically for their class.
Maxroll is entry level, can be used on end game on many classes, but not at all. We will get beter trixion training grounds soon so we can finaly do some testing.
Crit be swiftness is Basicly big number vs lots of small number.
Why wardancer go with swiftness?
I think the answear is because wind whisper.
Ww give movement speed, with enough swiftness you can reach 140% so raid captain is vaible.
Wardancer have lots of build and its very depend on your collectibles and tripods.
If you play 2 or 3 spender the basic concept is that you need use all your eso skills at 4 bubbles and you need fit on the burst window
it’s a good base but I love to watch a lot of guide to be sure and understand how the build work, why this skill, why this stat, why this engraving etc…
