Except you can when you direct actual resources / solutions towards it. As several have already pointed out, FFXIV has active GMs, better moderation tools, and they even let players toggle profanity filters off.
Do I think this should be AGS/SMG’s top priority? No, my god there’s so many things they need to fix and stabilize first, but this should definitely be on their list.

No, what Havesh said is 100% correct. Freedom of speech is to protect citizens from the Government censoring the populace.
Private companies can do as they see fit with their property.
Don’t believe me? Go in to your workplace break room/cafeteria/whatever and start putting up posters on how you love Hitler. What do you think will happen?
So stop with the nonsense of ‘censorship’ etc. Just because you don’t understand the concept of freedom of speech…doesn’t mean you are ‘right’.

Any targeted harrassment towards a group of people under a certain umbrella defined by an identifier.
Broad generalizations that are usually negatively laden or that have come into existence because of negative prejudices. Things like: Certain genders just do certain jobs, and that’s how it is. Is implied hate-speech because it’s derived from negative prejudices against certain genders.
In some countries they are killed. In others they are jailed. And in yet a few others they lose their jobs.
But, then how am I supposed to get my post count up legitimately? 
Just go to random posts and jump on whatever bandwagon that post is on about. “oh yeah same issue here” or “I feel the same way” 
Okay that’s fair just making sure you knew they’re doing bad faith arguments with heavy whataboutism

I will add to this original issue tho: Day 1 i saw gold spammers, and just turned off area chat. Sucks i dont see much typing anymore but it was effective.

I will say, I’m pretty sure I saw Roxx/Seawolf ask, in a stern fuck off kinda way, to not bring actual politics / political conversations like the above few responses to the forums

If that’s the case, then I’ll stop with literal examples, or even with continuing the conversation. Especially in case the guy is trying to catch me out somehow.
Yeah and it really only appears to be in cities / Luterra area, everywhere else is either a mix of hate speech, overuse of b*ssy, or sometimes people asking for help lol
I guess the spammers havent gotten past Luterra then haha That would be enough of a time sink I guess to not bother.
I’ve had some positive interactions in area chat. But I’ve been really meticulous in who I block, so I don’t fill up my block list too quick.
Wait is there a cap on how many people you can block???
