Is there a reason for the view discrepancy

I dont see why both teams have a diffferent view and why the game makes you play so zoomed in.

I just feel like positions in relation to your teammates are a big part of pvp and not being able to see more of the map is such a nuisance. Its actually in the sweet spot for melee right now because its zoom in enough that they can jump on you from off the screen but not out for enough for ranged to keep them tracked overall in relation to their teammates and themself.
