No, changes will be made and the launch build will be a separate download

This client is specifically for the Beta. There will be a separate download for the official launch, much in the same way that this client is independent from the Alpha download.
Is the key we got by mail / on steam also the key that’s used for the final game?
Nope! Since the game is free, you won’t need a key to download at launch
