490 amd not giving a damn, probably just level up up a few alts at this point.
Not even by using the gold you get in the game to buy crystals which can be used to get mats in the store? That’s still F2P.
I’m 596 for a couple of days, but I’m not rushing either. Had some abysmal luck, but I dont really care.
Can you tell me how I can be stuck at 1090 ilevel in T2 since several days because I keep failing my honing attempts when the percent chances start at 40% ? I keep losing thousands of materials even when honing with 15+ moon’s breath each attempts (I run out of moon’s breath now)
I don’t use Mari’s shop or the auction house to buy materials, maybe that’s the issue ? But then if you claim it’s easy to reach T3 because you can spend thousands of gold in the auction house and hundreds of blue crystals to buy mats off mari’s shop, then this is not what I call it “easy”, since making gold starts being “easy” once you reach T3…
So unless you spend 15 hours a day to play by following specific guides about what to do, what to focus on, etc. I genuinely struggle to understand how is it “so easy” to reach T3 by doing what the game offers you to do each day : Daily quests, weekly quests, chaos, raid, cube, tower (which doesn’t grants you a lot of materials on your main btw), chaos NPC exchange, guild exchanges, etc.
I do all of them and still run out of materials most of the time (especially harmony life shards). And even when I’ve enough mats to start a honing session, I mostly fail and have to wait several days to start again.
It is possible or semi-possible for people who just play casually and don’t bother with gaining knowledge with yt or LA sites.
Just imagine how much slower your progress would be only if you didn’t know about islands.
What about if I tell you I did all the islands that give T2 materials and I’m still out of them now due to a lot of honing fails ?
Then most likely you were very inefficient with farming and probably didn’t take advantage of moons breaths from maps or cubes.
I’m in the same position, my gear is all +14/+13 and i have no more materials to get other than my dailies, mechants.
Thankfully the grand prix has some too, so that’s another source.
All it means is I’m at the point where i can get a couple of attempts per day so probably another week to get to T3.
You are correct, if you throw enough time at the problem you will eventually finish T2.
The problem most people face isn’t that they are stuck, it’s that they feel stuck. They feel the grind isn’t worth the time investment, especially when they see what’s coming next and realize this is the easy part.
They don’t want to re-run 9 chaos dungeons and 9 guardian raids every day on multiple alts, beg borrow and steal every resource they can find to eventually hit pity and move up +1. Most people aren’t going to find this enjoyable at all.
I’m 1100 F2P and stuck because my goddamn T3 starter weapon won’t drop. It doesn’t matter where you are at in the game, there is going to be some form of wall or gate or bad RNG that slows you down or even dead stops you and eventually that will burn out a player who isn’t looking to invest 27 hours a day into Lost Ark.
“I keep losing thousands of materials even when honing with 15+ moon’s breath each attempts (I run out of moon’s breath now)”
So if I barely reach 60% from 40 with my moon’s breath and keep having fails, I’m the inefficient one here ?
So if I want to do the same for each pieces I’ve to be lucky enough to get a cube ticket each day, which isn’t the case, in order to run it and get more moon’s breath, but not enough to try more than one piece anyways ?
Same goes with the chaos gates and the rotation maps, etc. of course.
A few things. Anyone who played from day one and did a majority of dailies / islands / etc should be T3 by now due to pity.
However, this doesn’t change the fact that T1/T2 are just the “intro” to the end game and it feels really bad when someone gets bad luck and ends up one or more WEEKS behind their friends. I’ve had that happen to friends I played with, and those people quit.
Tier 3 isn’t much better but at least you are progressing in the “endgame” tier. At least you can do a majority of T3 content with other players. There’s no reason to gate people at T1/2. Argos release this early was a mistake though when there’s other content that gives more honing mats that should have come first ![]()
No, you should stop blaming others for your own mistakes/lack of knowledge. That’s a good start.
If people can have alts in tier 3 as F2P it’s really hard to believe that you poor souls did everything right and are “stuck”.
While I agree anyone who played consistently since day 1 should be T3 by now (see my previous post), you can’t really compare alts. I have 2 T3 alts (and more to come) but honing is buffed due to stronghold for alts. This makes a huge difference.
Who did I blame ? I went to answer here because the author claims it’s easy to reach T3 which doesn’t seem to be true from my experience and from other’s aswell on here. Then you came and mentioned those “T2 islands” like if they could grant enough materials to prevent any honing fails and still reach T3, which is also a wrong statement from my own experience.
I’ve a friend who has reached 1080 with only 15 fails while I’ve more than 53, and he didn’t even use a single moon’s breath in the meantime. Weird, isn’t it?
Yes and no. You have better rates and it’s cheaper but also how many resources from islands are you missing? So I would say it’s pretty even.
ehh… Did you play every day? Did you always do your chaos gate, chaos dungeon, guardian raids? Did you run infinite chaos? Did you buy everything from ship vendors and guild vendors each week? Did you optimize your weapon hoining by using moons breath on it? Did you make maps rota? Did you exchange rift shards for maps?
If you were doing all of these things you would be in t3 just by pity rates. 53 fails in not even much.
It’s not weird. That’s how statistic works. Someone will be lucky, someone will be unlucky and most people will be around average. That’s perfectly normal.
Missing island mats are made up somewhat by tower and higher level guild shops being available (plus some lower tier guild shop mats are tradeable so more high tier alts = more mats per week in all tiers) . Island mats definitely provided the most but I have 7 chars - most in T3/2 and can say T1/2 feels significantly faster.
I think anyone who is not T3 by now wasn’t playing consistently from day 1. That being said it still feels bad to end up week(s) apart from others based on honing luck given the same time played. I saw this happen in T2 with multiple people once they hit the leapstone wall. Dailies basically = 1 attempt. Fail weapon 4 times = goodbye 4 days.
I’ve answered to all of these questions in my first ever answer in this thread 10 mins ago, barely. And to summ it up : yes.
“It’s not weird. That’s how statistic works. Someone will be lucky, someone will be unlucky and most people will be around average. That’s perfectly normal.”
Then if it’s mainly a matter of RNG, do not claim “it’s easy”, because having to wait several days or weeks to be able to play with a friend who has been the lucky one doesn’t feel good nor easy.
That’s fair, tower provides some resources, not that many but still. I forgot about it.
I’m still not sure (by not sure I mean I didnt do math) on how good/efficient is ship vendor for alts and tbh I don’t bother that much with it. Need my pirate coins for Astray speedy boy!
Well… I completely why a lot of people are not in tier 3 but there is no way for a person to play daily, do everything correctly and not be in tier 3 just because of “bad rng”.
Ofc it feels bad, even worse than bad. But being real if T2 hoining rates can make you feel bad then not sure if you should play this game since players like that will be devastated in tier 3 when they see 10%.
