I’m sure most are already familiar with higher item level players helping their friends or guild members out in the lower item level dungeons and while I’ve got nothing against that, there’s something I’d like to address that bothers me a lot while playing that wastes a huge amount of my time.
There are players with an item level of 1325+ that enter low item level Abyssal Dungeons such as Ancient Elveria, Phantom Palace and Ark of Arrogance to intentionally fail the wipe mechanics, forcing us to restart over and over again or until we leave and find a new group. One of my alt characters that’s currently close to item level 600 had to experience the same fate. High item level characters that pretend someone else got it wrong to make the party wipe.
It’s probably hard to fix this issue fairly, but I’d rather have no high item level players in my alt’s Abyssal Dungeons than get trolled and do the dungeon a million times or search for new parties every time.
I hope you can look into this and improve the experience for players with alt characters and especially new players.
Why would a 1300+ want to intententionally wipe a t2 abyss? Would be just a waste of time. And why even a t3 would enter a t2 abyss when he wont get any rewards for it?
Other than mentall illness, or to help a friend i can’t see any other reason.
If he is there to help a friends, he would probably want to do it fast. Not intentinaly wipe.
Well, obviously it doesn’t make sense, but it has literally happened multiple times to me and my guild member. We asked the person what he’s doing in Phantom Palace when he’s item level 1100+, not only did he never give us an answer, but he also wasn’t on the same server as the other random person in our group. He just kept failing the oneshot mechanic by running around the map not doing what he’s supposed to do and in the end when he decided to talk, he blamed the other person for it saying “Wtf man what are you doing?”.
Well, it sounds like you have someone to play with, just make a group and avoid the troll(s).
(Randoms matching is fine until situations like this.)
High lv players clear T1/T2 dungeons for a low percentage legendary card drop. So you will see them.
It is unfortunate to have trolls like the one you encountered, and a lot of the systems in Lost Ark are vulnerable to bad players. The troll may be making a video out of the situation, or enjoy wasting your limited chances for the dungeon.
You can probably report him/her for toxic behaviors.
