Just disable mailing and person to person trading. There, bot problem solved.
Then they should remove grouping, pvp and all form of online content and make the game single player too! There, all problems solved!

No? I’ve yet to use trading or mailing myself. Only RMT’ers use that.
Could probably even keep person to person trading in.
But gold mailing…an option to mainstream the process of trading from anywhere to anyone at any time with zero coordination needs to stop xD.
“But the bots can just trade” ~ Yeah, they need to tell the buyer where to go and they gotta go through a manual trading process. Again, this is something that turns the filling process from 3-4 seconds (mailing it or mailing cod) to a longer coordination process (~3+ minutes)
No. But disabling those, at least for a while, would kill the bots off.
Disable gold trading from mail and personal trades, problem solved. Fair players gonna suffer a bit but bots gonna hurt more.
I think this would be fine as long as it’s roster-wide mailing, there’s sometimes the need to mail your alt an accessory (even with the higher pheon cost 
). It doesn’t really take anything away, and it removes one method of gold delivery for seller. AGS/SG can then focus on the solutions for the other methods gold sellers use.

Gold is already a part of your roster, you don’t have to trade gold between your other characters.

What comppany runs a live service in 2022 and has most off the team of for the entire weekend… You need to have people available on the weekends.
Person to Person is low coordination, put your alt “there” ask to get there, go get cofee, comeback, do the trade while speaking to the next, done. Longer than mail, but difference is not so big.
On wow i know they used mainly the direct trade mainly. I saw many level 1 orcs Getting in orgrimmar, getting to mail, then encountering a dude with big level, few second where they don’t move and then the big lvl leave, the lvl1 dc.
I think this was another account dedicated to do trades, receiving gold from mail from a “mule” account.
I have so the feel that the direct trade wouldnt be such a problem.

That’s not how the goldsellers finalize the transactions.
They do it using mail. No mail option, no trade option, means they end up forced into a less convenient method with a less than 100% rate of success.
That destroys their business model of being able to guarantee transactions.
This is simply a first step.
Kinda…you also have to coordinate the channel to swap to and go through the process of opening menus to initiate and do the trade. It would take about as long as remotely listing an auction and selling it.
There are already trade and whisper restrictions in Lost Ark, so the level of coordination will still be about the same.

Instantly mailing gold everywhere without the buyer or the RMTer coordinating is a really streamlined process that needs to go. This includes COD mailing.
So you could still list an item on the auction house or invite your friend to your party and trade if you needed to coordinate a trade. RMTers and Cheaters buying gold would both find this a waste of time.
If they need to have hundreds of thousands of bots in this game, then they clearly have so many buy requests to fill that killing the streamlined mailing would do wonders for lowering the fill rate.

Right, killing gold mailing doesn’t prevent trading between players. Exactly. That’s the point. The point is to not hurt players but to hurt RMTers who have to trade to players on a by-second basis to hundreds and thousands of people.
Players can easily coordinate trades in minutes. Forcing RMT and Buyers to coordinate for minutes is huge.
HOW? Personal Trade still exists

How is that an issue. Yes, bots are using this method to transfer gold to each other. Once this method is required to trade to a buyer, this becomes a transaction that requires effort and time on both sides.

This is generally a terrible idea that hurts real player’s ability to play with each other. My guild very commonly mails gold to each other, especially after splits from dungeon drops.
AGS/Smilegate, please do not implement this.

- Everyone can still play with each other. Gold mailing doesn’t change this.
- People can still transfer gold to each other. Remotely through the auction house or in person through in person trades.
- Auction houses are unchanged, in-person trading is unchanged, mailing items and resources are unchanged. Mailing gold is removed.
I know you want to buy RMT and want the process to be easy and streamlined so you get the delivery very fast. But no, it has to stop or severely slow down at least.

Disagreeing with you == RMTer. A+ thought process, really exercising your formal logic there. All you’ve done this thread is disregard everyone bringing up valid points on how it would make the game worse for normal players.
BTW, the only RMT I’ve done is legitimately through royal crystals. I agree, the process is super easily, fast, and streamlined. 10/10 would recommend again.
Read things and participate if you wanna argue. When you don’t read arguments and aren’t constructive, you clearly have a bias for a reason. Usually its RMT. Especially when every point you made was literally not affected by the suggestion
