Kicking from Lobby to replace a better stats character is a disgusting behaviour

make your own lobby and accept whoever you want. simple

Question is if you know that there is an army of 1520s and is what you want in your party why accept the guy with low stats if you know you are just going to kick him as soon as someone better applies? Why not just decline them right away and wait for the player with higher stats?

There isn’t one.

That’s why my 2 1460’s group with friends, so my slot in the party in locked. I don’t try to put them in via PF. It doesn’t matter how well geared they are, what title I would have, what roster I am, how many hundreds of times I’ve cleared the content - those 2 characters are going to get passed over.

That is the flaw in the system, there is no purpose to accepting a 1460 on ilvl for Vykas HM when you know if you wait a couple more minutes some 1500+ will pop up in the party finder and they will be more useful overall than the on ilvl (on paper, since you cannot judge player skill from character sheet).

The key is you play around the system, you play with friends, group with guilds, communicate with others and get the runs done without relying on PF where you are at a distinct disadvantage.

I could queue all afternoon on my 1460 DB and not get an invite, switch to my 1533 Sorc and get instantly accepted. It isn’t player skill or builds, it’s just one has a higher success chance at the run being clean and fast.

There is and you just mentioned it. If you are the party leader and you are 1460 why not just take the other 1460s who apply? I don’t think a 1500+ will apply to your group in a couple of minutes because they’ll likely just going to look for another 1500+ party

Some people have a ‘better’ moral compass they live by, even in game, while others don’t think two seconds on screwing someone else over.

Well sure, I’m not saying you sit there for 2 hours because you are too stubborn to accept a 1460 when you are a 1460 as well. The topic is why would you kick the 1460 for the 1520 that does appear in the list.

Plenty of party’s run with 1470-1490s all the time, mostly because there is very little need to min/max anything in Lost Ark. The bosses die all the same, things just tend to go a little smoother with players who push mechanics and don’t take damage when greeding is all.

As I say, the flaw in all of this is there shouldn’t be a reason that a 1445/1460 would ever be put into a position where they are fighting for a party spot to run content in any MMO against players who are 1520+/Capped. (Example being like T1 players are running the same content as T3 players in a contextual example)

Pretend for example that Raids also had a cap. Vykas is only 1470-1490. The Gatekeeping would drop significantly, but then all of a sudden none of us would have any content to run 18 times a week and players would rage that they are losing out on gold.

I hate when people do this.
I never do it even if it would be beneficial because it’s just an A-hole move…
We gotta learn to be better to one another

I don’t think it’s a design flaw it’s alright as it is. If you pushed your character that’s your reward that all the raids become much faster. It’s really just people not having any decency. Nothing is going to change that unfortunately. I think denying players fine but wasting their time like that I just think the people who do that have a defective personality.

True story… last night did hm vykas on my 1470 alt. The party I was in (party 2) was 2 1475s, me at 1470 and a pally at 1500+.

Party 1 was 2 1530s, a 1535 and a 1522.

They kept dying on gate 1 while my party kept living. Had to reset 3 times due to them randomly dying. The pally in my group was appalled and called it quits.

If you take someone in your group and he joined at the beginning when no1 else was aplying, you didnt even had 2 suports, prokel killer or whatever and you make him waste 20-30 mins of his time and then kick him at the last second cuz a better geared player request to enter when party is full then you are an ass****, doesnt matter if this is a game or not, but keep lying to yourself.

The design flaw is having players endlessly clearing content that is no longer of value to them outside of just grinding out gold because it creates these exact problems where people want fast runs (since you have so many old runs to do every week) and the player pool is stretched from a brand new player who just Express Passed to 1470 and a Founders starter who’s 1520+.

In a healthy progression game these two groups would have some degree of separation between them to provide content for all players.

In Lost Ark you are correct, your reward is that you can clear the same dungeon you’ve cleared 250 times already a bit faster now and if you wanted you will likely get into juicer groups.

Decency exists, but people are tired and burnt out of re-running these legion raids now for almost a year, so patience and acceptance is going down the drain.

You’ve been on the forums everyday since launch saying the same phrase on every single post you comment on.

We get it bro, you’re playing it cool being the guy who pretends not to care.

True, it’s a moot point really when there are no protections for the player against this behavior. In real life, for example, we have unlawful termination laws in the workforce to protect employees from being unfairly fired or discriminated against just because the employer found someone “better” later.

But on the other hand, in Lost Ark, if the developers introduced some system to try and protect the unfairly kicked players, it could be abused (e.g. bonus rewards to kicked player) or circumnavigated (e.g. kick shield → other members disband and create new group without the targeted player). It’s really a tough dilemma!

I agree people should be free to pick the people they play with. But thats not the core of the issue here, its not the picking, its the replacing after time used. Itd be the equivalent of (lets use your example) if that sports team had a finalized team, had their team handle their flights/time/plans/travel expense/etc, and then told them after using that time, that they would not be playing. Theres a difference between picking and wasting someone else’s time.

If you are such a great host then create your own party and stop complaining

My problem is the game already demands alot of your time to a point you cant even clear everything. Then you add to that people with no honor or integrity with there fatherless behaviour wasting some more time. personally if someone gets kicked in my lobby i leave too especially with my 1540 main and support alts.

Bruh start thinking, the IDEA IS that it is the SAME mentality, that is all.

No you are out of touch, I’m sorry but if someone who could do your job better get accepted over you…… tough that literally life.

If you personally want to settle for less we can beg to differ . But you aren’t when you are calling one side “ toxic”

Sure the action in itself is somewhat “vile”, but it’s a game, move on and find another group. And please don’t come and say that “you lost your precious time” since you’re already losing your time by playing a game. This applies in IRL too, there’s always someone better than you and you can get replaced at any time. Keep that in mind and do what you will of this advice.

Some people here should really grow up outside because it’s not a video game that will grow you up…
Gatekeeping is questionnable, this topic is not.

But eventually you had a bad experience IRL and you do the same in game.
Or eventually you live in United states where some states can fire an employee at will, it doesn’t mean that’s a good and ethical thing to do ^^

Don’t lie to us : You accept anyone in the party in order to fill it the fastest possible to have more visibility and spread the message “we are going to start very soon”.

Then you use the time of other people just for your own benefit (getting “stronger” players).

But the fact is : You don’t play alone, you play with other human beings where TIME also matter.
But yeah, nothing will punish you (I guess), so keep playing in your closed bedroom.
