There are so many problems with this game and time gating. I don’t know everything that goes on behind the scenes, but there is no way it should take 8 hours+ to knowledge transfer to a new class.
I don’t believe you get notification that this is time gated. Otherwise why not save your gold and maybe get lvled to 50 within 8 hours anyway (for the initial knowledge transfer at least)?
You have to pay more gold and spend more time for each transfer?? Truly a terrible system.
My Issue:
If you made it this far thank you for listening. My issue is that it’s been 13+ hours so far and the knowledge is still not transferred to my alt. How long does it really take?
It only takes 8 hours. Start the knowledge transfer on the alt, then find something to do for 8 hours, and then go back to your stronghold on that alt and complete.
I’ve knowledge transferred 6 characters so far, and all were done in 8 hours.
If it’s taken more than 8 hours then I’m guessing that you either didn’t actually start the transfer on your alt or there is some bug and you should contact support.
You could do the knowledge transfer on one character to get it to 50, while playing another character the normal way to get it to 50. It’s just another option to get a character to 50 without having to play it.
Thank you for replying. It says it’s still transferring and its been more than half a day. I may contact support after I give it a little longer. Just basically feel like complaining and seeing if anyone knows anything. Certain things in this game are really frustrating.

I think you are referring to the secondary transfers, such as skipping Rohendel, in which case ofc they are more expensive, it’s later content. The base is forever 8 hours and 600 gold - I’d also not recommend doing any other ones after this because it’s just a story skip, you don’t get a free set of gear to match the item level.
It says this from your stronghold menu? When you hit ctrl+1 in the stronghold and go to the knowledge section? It should also tell you exactly how long is left.
I’d log into the character and check then, it’s probably done you just need to complete it. Like the previous poster said you can access it in your stronghold menu (although I’m a derp and only checked at the machine in the corner ><)
I agree: it’s utterly stupid and absolutely pointless to make players wait 8 hours for knowledge transfer rather than just making it instant. Obviously if I create a new character and want to boost them to 50, it’s really stupid and annoying to have to wait 8 hours to play said character.
At the very least, they could let us use gems to instant complete it like everything else. Absolutely braindead system and the most pointless time gating I think I’ve ever seen in a game. It benefits literally no one: the devs don’t get anything out of it, players don’t get anything out of it, nobody wins, everyone loses.
