To knowledge transfer a lvl 50 character to Yorn;
The character must have completed Rohendel, and also reached item level 600.
Meaning that the knowledge transfer only gives you story completion?
This was posted earlier;
“You’ll receive a base set of gear matching the content you’ve boosted to, as well as important unlocks, like a mount, that you would’ve received on the leveling journey.”
In which case, would you then get 802 gear? or another set of 600?
From what i’m seeing currently in-game,
I have a character that was boosted to lvl 50, so 302 GS.
If i want to do the Rohendel Knowledge transfer; I’d have to get that character to item lvl 460 first.
Meaning that i’d have to pay 1000g and a 8hour wait to knowledge transfer, just to skip a 2hour questline. How is that even worth it?
Is this information correct? or is my game bugged?
I was hoping that knowledge transfer would give them the required gear at those levels vs you having to get to that gear score first.
In which case, only the north vern knowledge transfer is useful, and the others are just for convenience.
I would like to know as well If boosting a character all the way to Feiton gives the 960 ivl gear or is only the vern quest giving out gear because it does not seem right to spend almost 2k gold for quest knowledge only to not get the gear needed for that zone
Did you ever find this out? is it worth me knowledge transfering my Alts to Yorn will it gives 600ilv gear or just the story ? meaning i still need to upgrade their gear ilvl from 302 upwards?
You do not get the gear just the story completion, the vern one that is absolutely worth it because of the gear the rest are not worth it right now, maybe when you have plenty of gold later on, its more so for people that have done it multiple times times have plenty of gold and just dont want to do it again.
I’ve done the transfer to try it out, and even though I’ve finished Yorn, I wasn’t able to transfer the knowledge to any of my alts. I was only able to transfer North Vern (302 gear).
From what I’ve gathered we need to get the alt to that next threshold ilvl to transfer knowledge, which just skips the storyline. So we can’t just pay 1600g and have a new character at 960 gear (or 802 if that’s the threshold).
All in all, it’s more fun for me to play everything again than to skip the storyline… I’ll have to play the sidequests for the bonus loot so I might as well play everything.
It tells me that for North Vern, I have eligible characters:
So on the second screenshot specifically for rohendal it shows the number 460 that means you are required to have a character at 460 item level in order to do the knowledge transfer to that toon. The very first one is different it is the initial transfer which will skip all the main story quests through Vern and bring the character up to lvl 50 with a free 302 gear set
Then if you want to Knowledge transfer that toon again do dailies or left over islands reach 460 and start the knowledge transfer. Same thing with torn and so on.
Last bit of advice for torn and higher you get one knowledge transfer for every toon that clears that specific story line
Example your main has clears rohendal you can knowledge transfer ONE alt through that system. If you want to utilize the knowledge transfer for rohendal again you have to do the story line over again on alt #3 to knowledge transfer it to alt#4
Also you only get the 302 gear set subsequent knowledge transfers will not give out armor sets
Can you guys remove the limit to this but instead make it more expensive the more chars we use the rohendel feiton and yorn quest. Instead of having to do those quest on other characters i want to but char expansion and stuff but damn the main quests are tiring bro.
Any news about remove the limit of 1char story 1 char bus, not now but maybe in some months or with new class? because its really boring do main quest, especially if you did it 5-6 times in lao ru/kr
