Lets see if I'm going to get banned/warned, selling gems

So far I’ve received nothing. I have at least one other level 10 gem to sell, but I might want to fuse up few other lower level gems before I sell that.

AH history

I've sold accessories for bots to do Thornspire

Selling to bots is very similiar to RMT, actually. The bots farm the gold, then they send it as RMT to a player. Only difference is I’m kinda selling stuff to them at market price, individual transaction being rather small. Still, I’m receiving bot gold 100% since only they would pay these kind of prices.

I was a bit late to sell T2 gear to bots. Unlike the T3 purple accessory market which died after the bots stopped doing Thornspire last week, this one is still doing OK.

T2 sorc gear pieces

I don’t know what the bots are nowadays doing. Probably their usual chaos dungeon and rapport grinding, but it’s a bit odd they completely stopped farming bridge. Unless the hacks they used were fixed, or possibly they can monitor them. Steamcharts doesn’t really show that there has been a large number of bots being banned. I kinda hope they are levelling up and will continue to farm the books once they are high level enough.

I just thought I’d post this. If a legit player can get banned, or randomly lose gold by selling normal things for normal prices, then I don’t see how it’s really worth playing the game.

gezzus a lvl 10 gem for 190k>??

what a steal…they are over 400k on my server… hot damn

AGS rushes to buy your gems so you won’t get banned

It’s a cd gem… Only AP gems go for 400plus. Thats why its a gamble to fuse up at lvl 9 because if u hit a cd gem u just lost a lot of gold.

Yep that was cooldown gem. Cheapest damage is currently 470k, EUC. I have fused two level 10 (T3), both turned out cooldown. But they are actually pretty nice for igniter sorc.

I don’t consider these as gamble. You have an expected result, which is about 50% either way. Similiar to how you cut ability stones, for example when I cut my legendary gem and I needed 6/6, it had IIRC ~14% chance. The expected tries to get one was 8. But as it’s RNG, you can nearly as likely get it with 5 or 11. I was slightly unlucky and it took about 14 attemps, which is still perfectly in normal region. Only if you get it like 1-2 tries, or need 20, you can really consider to be lucky or unlucky. But even then, it’s an illusion. Because up to the point when you cut your first T3 legendary or even relic stones, you’ve cut plenty of other stones prior. The first legendary stone by my support char that I brought, turned out 7/6. That char will probably never need to buy more ability stones. In long run, your luck evens out.

Back to topic, I have currenly equiped 2x8 and 1x9, and in inventory at least 2x8 and 1x9. I should be able to get soon 3xlevel 9, then try my luck again, and sell both level 10s at same time. I simply want to see if anything unexpected should happen.

I can’t really conceive playing a game, where you can’t play the game normally. Which also involes selling expensive stuff to complete randoms you have no idea of who they are and where do they get their gold. Unlike >50k relics, everyone except beginners can have level 10 gems to sell. It is simply a matter of how you allocate your gold. I have been buying first lower level, then later mid level gems for many months now. For the past two months or so, the gem prices have really exploded. So now I simply need to cash in on that. I think it’s a craze driving these prices up. People say you don’t need over level 7 gems. I don’t even agree on that, level 5s are perfectly fine IMHO. Any higher level gem, you just pay dimishing returns for small damage or cooldown improvements.

And if I’m not able to play the game normally, they I really should not play it at all. The world is full of games. This is the first one I’ve encountered where legit players could possibly get banned.

I think what the RMT do is buy expensive stuff and sell the item via trading or mail to the respective buyer. That is the reason why “gifting” is not allowed anymore since RMT is buying with hacked accounts and selling the gem for outfits and “gifting” them. Even buying Blue Crystals with botted gold. I think it is easier to spot that you have a ton of gold all of a sudden than someone who slips your character multiple gems or accessories “as a gift”.

So no one knows where you really get that lvl 10 gem and also there is a chance that a legit whale is just buying them. The problem is when a whale is trying to get the gem he needs and trying to do it via gem casino and trying to get lucky with it. They don’t have access to real silver so rerolling the gem is totally out of the question, so the only way to get back the $$$ is through trading it with gold. Also, the other problem is if the player got lucky and don’t need the accessory piece. They roulette their jackpot to an rmt or a real player.
