Or, people like you can continue to choose to contribute to a toxic environment.
And later down the road, you realise you are only playing with a bunch of other pricks and then you’re stuck wondering why the game is essentially dead; since all the new players/learners have left, all the players who don’t want to deal with the negative community has also left.
We all have to make choices, big or small. They all have some form of impact in the future. I’m just hoping ppl do an awareness check before things turn for the worst because I actually enjoy playing this game.
I’d say most of MMO players keep playing to do their daily/weekly content, not make friends.
Unless it’s some kind of turbo casual game, but LA is not one of them.
Yes you did. You spend your time giving spelling advice on forums and making friends ingame, so you could all sing kumbaya in Punika, while other people clear Valtan/Vykas on their 6 alts in the same time.
Have it your way, I still prefer mine.
but it shows that toxicity is not a detrimental factor for a game that is good
now it may be a problem for you
nobody is arguing that you should just grow a thicker skin (at least they shouldn’t)
but there are also ways to not have to deal with it in this game at least
A player experience in an MMO is not just impacted by the game (structure, content, whatever). Community and social interaction plays a big part in retaining players, believe it or not.
I admit, I did twist your words a bit. But what you said sort of gave an excuse for toxicity, like why are you defending it man?
you can’t cure toxicity
If you decided tomorrow to give 5000 gold for every good word anyone says to somoene else you’d get flamed for not giving 10 000 instead
the only power you have is over yourself
if you want to have a good experience be good yourself
for some reason when i keep it simple and respectable and don’t flame people for making a mistake and then i say ggs or thnx for run they say the same back and we continue on our merry way
and i’m pretty sure i’m not just lucky with finding these people because i’ve met only 1 toxic person in the past 3 months
Ok, a casual is somebody who doesnt play… 8hrs a day like a second job?
Hate to break it to you, but the majority of the player base are in fact what you’d consider casuals (probably). I suppose it depends on what your definition of casuals are… Lol why are we even having this conversation.
Your stance is clear that you rather stay an elitist and an A-hole to bring “better” to the community. Good job sir! Keep up the good work!
