Character isnt enough. It needs to be the whole roster ^^" Because many informations and many grind is only for the roster available
I would be happy to go to EU West and start over from level 1 as long as all the paid/twitch items come with me (founder pack, starter pack, twitch drops etc). Itâs impossible to motivate people to spread out if they lose the money theyâve already invested.
Transfer needs to have :
- Transfer of all characters
- Transfer all data of the roster
- All TwitchDrops, Founderpacks, Starterpacks which the user got
if no transfer only twitch drops, founders and starters they need to give me a high amount of ingame shop crystals and gold to move⌠Because i already gathered so many seeds and hidden stories⌠i dont want to do that again xD

I donât understand why so much drama. You donât have to transfer a shit, you just need to duplicate all the servers and info on EU Central region and put the same on EU West region, then all players will be able to play in EU Central or EU West with the current progress and items reclaimed.
I donât see the difficulty here, just to create a duplicate of the current database.

In general, the main problem is not that the players are not willing to transfer to the new region.
For some reason, the more important aspect is being left out or just ignored intentionally.
History of LA Launch
Both players and AGS didinât know/expect this huge amount of influx/interest in the game.
Due to above reason AGS vent only with 1 region for europe, while the players chose their servers(at headstart) bought their multiple founderâs packages and invested both their time and hardly earned money to support this game.
So, if there is no full compensation for those players to encourage them to switch to new region, the current regionâs queue problem wonât be fixed at all, and you guys will create a 2nd problem for the future, the EU West region has the potential to become a dead/really low populated region in a matter of time due to above reason, this would bring another problem called âmerging serversâ.
As a long time gamer, the advice that i would give you( if that has any meaning, ofcourse) stop seeing Europe and NA as a same region, Europe is a contitent of multiple cultures,ethnicities,gaming habits and more.
So itâs normal for some group of players to try to avoid eachother and that was the reason of only some specific servers getting really overpopulated(At head start, since at full launch 19 servers out of 19 were full+full).

But you would have to delete your character in zinner if you move, coz if not it would have the same character creation cap and a lot more

I dont think the EU-West will be low populated if we will get a full compensation (e.g. full servertransfer including character, twitch drops, founder/starter packs and roster)
Otherwise, if we dont get it and the most ppl dont change their region, then it will be true⌠that would be very sad.
I hope AGS will create a full transfer very soon so we can play with our friends together⌠currently we are splitted because no one of us want to start again and again and again.
something i thought of the other day, but im not sure is possible, is what if they moved half of the current central servers over to the new region automatically, and added half the new regions servers to EU central?
that way the people on the servers who are moved lose nothing, but the people in both regions will hopefully experience less queues with empty servers on their region

No, that is not possible, that would mean moving everyone without their consent to another place and would cause more problems regarding freedom, dont forget that players complained for hours when they locked the headstart servers.
Hopefully your team has metrics to support this statement?
From my small sample-sized survey, I would argue very few people will actually change region:
- People with friends in Central Europe will not move
- People that have bought founders pack will mostly not move
- People with twitch drops claimed have an extra incentive not to move
- People with 50+ hours wonât be inclined to move either as they usually wake up before queues and can play mostly fine.
That basically leaves extreme solo F2P casuals. Not sure how many there are but it seems unlikely it will be enough to actually affect queues.
Server transfer is the ONLY WAY to fix the issue permanently and I refuse to believe it is impossible. Smilegate has done it before, and they can do it again with your added resources.
Edit: I just saw the idea of making the new region a copy of the current EU region (and possibly choose at the start which one to stay on and delete the data from the other region) and I think it might be a good workaround to the situation.

Absolutely. The bare minimum would be to replace everything that youâve already got on your current server. The issue is a lot of progression is gated behind time limited things. Youâve got research that takes days, daily rewards that you can only get x number of times, etc. etc. The longer they spend getting the new Region up, the more this is an issue.
People arenât going to move across unless they basically give everyone their stuff that theyâve unlocked and some major progress boosters.
On a side note, this still doesnât sort the issue. Youâll likely have a handful of people swap from the current region to the new one, but the majority are likely to stay which means queues arenât going anywhere. THIS IS NOT A FIX! How have the other regions faired perfectly fine while EU barely chugs along with 20k+ queues??

No one is pushing you to move if youâve already claimed your packs and invested your times.
This alone should account for all those who potentially donât have FPs and havenât done much in the game yet or have not started the game at all yet along with those from the founders days who are in a same boat.
It wonât account for everyone but it is a LARGE number of people.
Iâve got over 80 hours in this I have bought all founders packs - so I definitely wonât move over. But I am not compelled/pressurised to do so as there will be many people in my situation and on the flip side many who havenât yet got to enjoy Lost Ark.
So no, a little incentive is not needed.

I got to play quite a bit since I managed to log on during off-hours. I didnât hit max level but Iâm close and I really enjoyed my time and I like my character. I also bought the Platinum Founders Pack, the expensive Starter pack, and a skin I liked. However all my friends were effectively locked out of the server due to 4+ hour queues.
So my options now are:
- Stay on my current server, keep my progress, and keep the items I paid a significant amount of money for. I canât play with my friends AT ALL since the new servers donât have cross-play. I will likely still have (massive) queues since all the other Founders and lucky early adopters are stuck in the same boat. I will also miss out on the gifts the people on the new servers are getting.
- Start over. Lose all my progress. Throw away âŹ160,- of items. Throw away Twitch drops. Get some gifts and get to play with my friends.
Neither option is very attractive. If my items could be moved over / re-claimed on the new server Iâd be willing to bite the bullet and start over. If they canât Iâm seriously considering getting refunds as itâs been completely wasted otherwise.

Theoretically you are completely right and I myself have been also under the impression that a server clone should not be to much of a hassle.
Sadly programming does not always work this way and we cannot say how the game interacts with servers on a programming level. Like would issues arise for duplicated server, would this somehow screw up load balancing software as basically at the beginning you would have a 1 to 1 copy of the server.
I am afraid that there a bunch of points that would need to be tested/fixed for Lost Ark to be able to do this successfully.
Of course this would still be the best and in my opinion simplest solution regarding player satisfaction at the moment.
