Lock the servers, don't listen people that doesn't know about big MMOs

Hi guys!
I read all the complainings about free players about the server lockdown.

Please, do what is best for keeping the queues low. Server lockdown is the lesser evil of MMO booms.

Kadan: 6200 queue… People that is complaining and said that we prefer more queues instead of a lockdown IS A LIE!

Big queues kill players that play everyday, so please, if you need to lockdown old servers, DO SO WITH NO FEAR!

I like that you listen the community, but some people were crying because they can’t access to their favourite twitch streamer server… don’t think that they represent the ones that we think and understand the lockdown as a lesser evil thing at this moment of launching.

Keep up the good work!

Thank you.

All servers should be locked. Zinnervale, Kadan, Thirain. Also Neria, Trixion and Asta maybe. Permalocked

The intermitent opening servers don’t help at all. If someone can enter that server in a low population time frame, then when the higher population time frame, he will be added to the queue, so in fact opening and closing servers just make things worst because the amount of population keep increasing

Zinnervale and Kadan at least should be permanent closed servers. We have 19 servers in EU, I think new players are able to play with no issues in almost any server. Heck, even Trixion which was since the 8th don’t have today any queue.

Opening and closing servers in already high populated servers only make things worse… Today in Zinnervale the queue it’s 10k and literally don’t move forward

@Roxx @ShadowFox I remember to you that nowadays, there are servers in Korea with queues, 3 years later since the release. Don’t make this please

Totally agree with that. It’s impossible to monitor population because the players create characters in low population time (04:00 AM CET) and then will count when the population grows during the day.

Kadan right now 8000 queue, but Zinnervale is almost 180000 queue…

Those server have to permament lockdown. Do the right things, it’s a wise choice to do so.

Thank you.

14.5k queue at midday on Zinnervale, why on earth would they unlock our server idk

My community organised well enough to all come together on the same server, why screw us over for people that could not plan to start the game at the same time so they would be on the same server idk. Server needs to stay locked until it dies down a bit.

But that said it is also mind boggling that there is no transfer systems for lost ark to let people move to their friends.

I am over 3 hours in queue since 10am, ridiculous.

It has nothing to do with ‘‘population time frame’’ which is the problem…

I play on a server with no queue and it’s been locked for hours before servers with 1-2hour long queues, because as explained in their post it’s unique accounts on realm lock, so as long as you make a char on a server and never delete you can always access that server, which is dumb.

The servers with queue on them currently that aren’t locked just haven’t hit their character limit yet, and it says that in the warning when you try to join that you may be queing for 2 hours but there’s no guarantee that once you’re in you’ll be able to make a character as server might lock by then, so enjoy queing for next server with same risk.

edit So if you’re seeing 10k queues, it’s very likely that 90% of them won’t get past character creation ( If new players ) by the time they’re in and will have to roll on a different server anyway, so if you’ve already got a character the queues should only get better for you, unless they were like this days ago already and people had already made their characters.

SOOO. for people who pre ordered the game way before game was launched should just not play or what ? its basically waste of money if you ask me

Actually can’t tell who you’re replying to as it applies to both.

People who have pre-ordered and made characters on servers that had 20k+ queues before character lock was even introduced in the first place before the F2P launch will continue seeing these queues unless people move on to different servers, nothing to do with free to play users trying to log on today as they wouldn’t even have access to it to begin with.

I know that Ishal, but the problem is that Kadan and Zinner opened up at night.
If you have servers with that queues, and still let people in…

I think its better to permalock the high population servers and wait for server establish and get down the boom.

And FYI, the server were limited to certain amount of players (like 50.000). Yesterday, if I don’t mistaken, updated those servers to 70.000. So yes, those queues can be avoided in further days just being cautious and not opening the servers.

People can play with theire friends even cross-server (like 80% of content…).

In resume, let developers and experts decide and don’t fall to the people that are only ragging.

Honestly, people are freaking out way to much this is how MMO releases usually are queues upon queues. And 3-4 hours of queue is still pretty tame. I remember queueing for 5-8 hours to get into WoW for months and you just adapt to it. It sucks but this will die down and people are losing it way to easily.
If you want to learn on how to get around and get ahead of the curve just look at what people did during wow classic like remote desktop and all that jazz.

Sure, but you do realise at 3am there was not a single available server for EU and this is only 3 hours and a bit after the launch.

We’re currently heading in the same direction with only about 3 realms left available with 3+ hour queues on them already for people trying to create characters, in a matter of hours there will be no realms to make new characters on and anyone who’s not had the chance to play yet today won’t until they release new servers or unlock existing

@Roxx this is true here, please consider fully locking existing servers for a long while, with insane queues already last thing we need is more people there…

Better spin up more (and a lot) and work towards server transfers instead…

18K queue… thank you for the decision to open the servers because ****** wanted to free to play on populated servers. This week is lost.
